Welcome to the first part of my review of Twilight 2000 by Free League. This review covers the background to the game and an assessment of how likely some of the events are plus my usual random facts that tie vaguely in.
Excellent insights into the plausibility of the background for this game. Interesting to listen to, in anticipation of the final release. It's a shame that there doesn't seem to be much more interest in the game in RU-vid, at least pre-release.
In my opinion it is a pretty straightforward translation from the original English language version. Interestingly enough the original first edition had a few Finnish sourcebooks and adventure modules. They expanded the world of Twilight 2000 into Scandinavia. According to them Finland did actually quite nicely in WW3. We followed a policy of strict neutrality and ended up fighting against both NATO and Soviet forces in Lapland. Finnish forces managed to beat back both parties invading Finnish territory.
I can't see any mention of it other than against Israel. Possibly the naval support was docked in (neutral) Syria and therefore intact (at least until the NUAR attacks Israel).
