"We do not beg for freedom....we fight for it" Apriciate the vid! Not many ppl from different countries actually remember about these hard times for Polish ppl. Sadly irl only russians were shooting at that times....to unarmed miners...
Glory to Poland! Huzzah for the brave and valiant defenders! Too bad they lost. Had they took the initiative to take out those tanks early-on, they probably would've had more of a chance. Great battle! Can't wait for more Poland battles! ^_^
I did not know that the Poles were enemies with the Soviets, I thought that the Poles joined the Soviets in 1944 and helped them during the liberation of Poland.
@@milutinpetrovic7775 But only the communists political and military leaders were on good terms - the rest of the country, that's over 90% of the population were against the occupier and resisted in pursuit for their freedom. We have to go back a long way in history to fully understand this. So for a brief explanation - Russia and Germany (their leaders) through ages have been mortal enemies of Poland due to the fact that Poland unfortunately is geographically and politically located between these two murderous countries, it has been always at the center of their wars for centuries, being invaded, occupied and destroyed - but never give up and always resisted and fought for freedom. In 1939, the USSR together with Germany invaded Poland and divided its lands as part of the distribution of "the spoils" of the sphere of influence under the provisions of the infamous Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, but later after the invasion of the USSR by Germany in 1941, Poland and the USSR became "allies" but only in the name of the principle "the enemy of my enemy is my friend". Remember that for Polish people, the USSR was the same evil and occupier as Germany, both countries had a policy of terror and the use of brute force, where innocent civilians were killed or used in inhumane slave labor - so for the victims of this terror, both countries were mortal enemies, cause when someone tortures or enslaves you, it doesn't matter where they come from. When in 1944 the war was coming to a close, it became obvious that the liberation of Poland will not come from the west by the democratic Western Allies but from the east by the hostile totalitarian communist regime, so the Polish government-in-exile in London to try to establish a friendly relationship with USSSR, ordered the Polish resistance movement AK (Armia Krajowa / Home Army) to co-operate with the Red Army in fighting the Germans and liberating the Polish cities. And although ordinary USSR soldiers joined forces with AK to fight the common enemy, but unfortunatelly Stalin's plans for Poland was not to be a free country but occupied by the Soviets as a wasal country, so they began to arrest the Polish freedom fighters and murder them in fake trials, so-called court-crimes. (!!!) But keep in mind - it's not the ordinary soldiers and citizens of these countries who are the enemies - but their insane murderous leaders who bring misfortune upon their own and neighboring countries in the name of greed and their sick desire for imperialist power and domination over others - ordinary citizens are not to blame. So you have to understand that Poland and the communist USSR were never real "allies" out of free will - but mortal enemies in a clash where the more numerous Russia conquered and occupied its smaller neighbors by force, violence and terror - this applies to the entire so-called "Eastern Bloc": Czechoslovakia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldavia, Georgia - all of these countries were subjugated by Moscow and never really were free or its "real allies". So now imagine that in your country there are several hundred or even several million military occupation forces of your enemy - what chance do you have for real freedom and a normal life? Maby apart from the political leaders who benefited from this arrangement by being obedient to Moscow's will - but all the rest of the nations resisted the Soviet occupation of their countries. Some resistance fighters who fought against the German and Soviet invaders since 1939 fought against the USSR until the 1960's by hiding in the forests or tiny villages - in the name of honor and duty that didn't allow them to stop fighting for freedom of their homeland. But hope arose whit the Solidarity movement, mass protests and opposition in all those countries occupied by the USSR, that at the turn of the 1980-90's it was possible to bring about the collapse of the USSR and the liberation of these countries after almost 50 years of their occupation since the end of WW2. - Please keep in mind that all of this has nothing to do with wonderful ordinary people in those countries - civilians, living and working hard every day. Because no matter where you are from, everyone just wants to live a normal life: work, pay taxes(joke), have a family and just live free with dignity. :) All this applies just to a small group of people obsessed with greed, power, money and control like politicians, military, officials, businessmen, etc. - that is less than 10% of any society. More than 90% are wonderful ordinary people - all around the world who have nothing to do with what the 10% do evil in the world. I hope that this majority one day defeat and overcome this 10% and finally there will be peace, equality and love without senseless wars, conflicts, injustices, oppressions, suffering and destruction. We all must believe in a better future! :)
