Cold Water Shave with Merkur Futur Adjustable Razor

Stephen, I'm really enjoying the cold water shave.:) I told myself I would alternate between a cold water shave and warm water shave, but I have yet to do it.:) I continue to do the cold water shave due to the great result I've been getting.:) Additionally, I'm doing a cold water shower. Well, I start warm but finish off in cold water. I've built up quite a tolerance and find myself spending more and more time under the cold water.:) VERY invigorating. Reportedly, many health benefits.:) But, as a friend said, let's see what happens with the cold water showers and shaves in February in the dead of winter.:):) LOL!:):)

Thanks.:) The Futur, IMHO, is an outstanding razor. It's been said that it's not so much a razor, as it is a shaving instrument.:) Some find it cumbersome and unwieldy. I've not had this problem.:) YMMV.:)

Thanks very much for the kind words. Glad you like the videos.:) Blooming is simply a way of bringing out, or boosting, the scent of a hard puck of soap. You can do this quite easily by adding some hot water to the top of the puck while it's in a bowl/container. Sort of a way to fill the room with the soap scent.:) There are other methods. I've never really explored it much. Once the lather builds on my face, I tend to simply drink in the scent then.:) Nope, I don't do anything with my shaving sticks other than apply them.:) There have been a couple of times where I've shaved them into pieces and placed in a lathering bowl thereby building a lather there. But otherwise, I simply do a face lather.)

Thanks, Matthew.:) Glad to hear the cold water shave is working for you.:) La Toja's scent is somewhat unique. You can certainly smell the mineral salts for sure.:) So, it has that outdoors quality and that somewhat fresh salt/mineral scent...like being by a lake or spring on an early, warm Spring day with a slight breeze blowing.:) It's light and airy and fresh.:) A lot of guys on shave forums describe the scent as "90% like Dove Men+Care Clean Comfort deodorant/soap/bodywash." I've never used this Dove product, so cannot say for sure.
