@DirtyJakTheDustyBean I have a question about your last machine. Did you ever have a problem with the lock and ride trunk? Did it ever come loose trailering at highway speeds or just trail riding? Thanks

@@river_keithWe always put a strap around it when traveling. It was a great system and in around the five years we used it never had an issue. So far the best on and off system by far we’ve used.

This is one of our favorite places to go. 2 hours from home makes for a great quick weekend trip for us. The north side of the river has campsites as well and they are larger and right on the river.

We loved it also. Saw those sites on the north end, took the one we did as we were still on the river, only ones in the campground and were more set back from the road.

Great video! Noticed you didn't use the stove jack protection wall cover. Good to know you don't need it. I was going to ask how long the stove lasts, but your answered that! Good to know you don't need to strap the tent down to use. Looking forward to more videos about your new tent!

Ours didn’t come with a protection wall cover, I know some of the others do but this one does not. We used it once and staked it down and the tent did well overall, we will see how it holds up over time- so far doing well.

@DirtyJakTheDustyBean Same with me, I started out tent camping for years, then converted a cargo trailer into a toyhauler. Every year, I upgrade something in the trailer. Most recently, I bought a lithium iron phosphate battery and charger that is a vast improvement over lead acid batteries. Keep up the great videos they are informative and a joy to watch. Happy trails

Great! I'm looking into having this type of set up. Just curious, does it smell like smoke inside the tent with the wood stove?
@DirtyJakTheDustyBean
@DirtyJakTheDustyBean Месяц назад
We didn’t have any issue with the tent smelling like smoke. The stove exhaust well and the tent is vented just in case a little smoke drifts in while loading more wood in the stove.

How well did the air pressure hold up in the cold temps? Did you pump the tent up a bit more before you went to bed?
@DirtyJakTheDustyBean
@DirtyJakTheDustyBean 3 месяца назад
So far we have 3 nights of pretty cold weather camping in the Koala 7 and no issues with pressure in that trip. We have 9 nights so far in the Octopus in mainly warmer weather and has been also very good with the pressure but did add air one time when pressure showed at 6lbs versus 6 1/2 where we inflate to. Doubt it even need to be added. We have had some nice temp swings and so far both inflatable tents have held up pressure well.

You really need a portable diesel heater in there. None of those temps were really warm in that tent. If you need winter clothes on inside, your heat is insufficient.

perhaps the stove pipe hole was cut too big? When you get your flange issue resolved, please hit me back with a link.

Not sure if it was cut to big or supposed to be that way (tent comes with hole already in it from manufacturer). The tent still stayed warm enough just would like to touch that up before next winter and the temps are a bit colder than they were this time around.
