it started off with Chris having the rough lyrics and the chords on guitar, then he showed it Avicii, but without him this song wouldn't be as popular

Avicii should be featured, without him this would never be this good... He did like 80% out of the whole instrumental if not more... Oh and he also coproduced Hymn for the weekend... I swear everyone needs to know this... Coldplay are taking all the credit which is not fair at all, he must be included in the title

I think Avicii did help out with the track altogether and did two versions. This and the original one.

@@log2306 Chris Martin start the song, he wrote it with te band, they try the “Coldplay version” but they were not sure, but the song was already created, then Chris contact with Tim, and he help them with te EDM stuff, Tim was so good and talented but he don’t create the song

That’s true!!! I watched Coldplay concert few days ago here in Sweden and he actually dedicated this to Avicii. He also asked everyone to put the phones down and enjoy the song to pay tribute to Avicii. ❤❤❤

Just for you guys to know the way the song came about. It came into Chris’s head (singer of Coldplay) like most of Coldplay’s songs and he had the tune and lyrics, he had the title of it long before. Usually then he would show it to Jonny the guitarist but he jokingly said he cheated on Coldplay because he brought it straight to Avicii. Then they worked on it and they thought it would be cool to add a guitar riff from Jonny as well. Oh and this is a live version you can see in the description of the video.

Hurts so bad to know he lost the battle and I think of how he chose to go all the time. He deserved so much better.

I don't believe he left when he was supposed to, but his death is an example of how we take and take and take from people that have so much to give... He had so much to give, but it wasn't enough, people wanted more and more, until it was too much... Human kind does this far too much to those who were brought here to teach us the right path, even Jesus, he was killed for telling the world that we were all Gods children and to live in peace with each other, so much to give, so much taken. We must always remember that for all the GOOD that there is that there is evil lurking to prevent the GOODNESS from happening, so we must be conscious, aware, and protect those who are here with amazing talents that are here to teach a better way, they are our true treasures, we mustn't forget it. I wish you well my friend. I thought this was one of our songs as well until recently learning that out of over ten years and a child together she stopped loving me only 3 years in but stayed for the free house while looking to replace me with almost anyone. She couldve told me before we had a daughter that she just left with me and i have to now raise alone. Not even my worst enemies ever did me that dirty but the worst hurt can only come from those you love. Angers me because she doesn't deserve to be a thought tied to this song or really thought about at all. Garbage humans man.. She ruined me.

I totally agree! The song is HIS! He produced it and helped write it with Chris Martin. The original and this version are essentially his songs, but were hijacked by Cold Play. They should have said AVICI in the production and writing section instead of Tim Bergling because a lot of people overlooked his real name.

But Coldplay had a beef with Tim's manager Ash, he was mad because he didn't wanted Coldplay to be first in the title which i can totally understand, A Sky Full Of Stars is Aviciis song without question. And then they removed Aviciis name from the title, and for that i will never respect them.

@@jujasname well in terms of the writing Chris already got the tunes and stuff and Avicii contributed making it livelier but I do think he deserves more credit

I'm a Brazilian fan, I love Codlplay's music and it's the band I like the most, and I'll always like it, but when it comes to Avicii, that's something that has no words to describe... Tim was such a genius that he wasn't had, there was bad music with him. There were countless masterpieces. Avicii is the soundtrack of my thoughts, Avicii is the God of Music, Avicii is life itself. We can't be sad about Tim's death, but we should be happy that he existed... Eternal longing for the greatest DJ the planet had and will always have.
