I lost my mom to cancer in May of last year after a seven year battle. She was my best friend in the whole world, and I miss her every day. This song, while not an exact representation of a non-romantic relationship, means so much to me. I listen to it often and it gives me comfort as I continue to mourn. Thank you! From the bottom of my heart, thank you for this song. It's a rare song that comes along and changes your life when you hear it. And may it bring the same comfort to others who have lost someone, in whatever form that loss takes.

No need for audience, no need for crowds, just that feeling of being alone in your passion and alone in your love and then you think about that person that gives you that everglow. A very personal display, the irony of waters flow and scating on ice. A masterpiece. A brilliant video. Wonderful song. 👌

Everglow - This song will rip you naked of all the masks behind which you hide your emotions, it will force you to think of the people you love, the people you loved, the people who love you, the people who loved you, the people who came into your life for a reason, people who didn't last longer than a breath and yet were the ones who saved you while you were drowning. The modern world teaches us to be independent, to live alone, to handle everything alone and it teaches you that you are always alone. But no! That's not it. The truth is you are never alone. Just like you breath different air wherever you go, you bring forth and push out different people wherever you go. You weren't meant to be alone, no and until and unless you let people see your demons, fondle your scars and touch your wounds, how can you experience their healing power? How can you expect sunlight to be flooding into an air tight room if you aren't even ready to unlatch the window? How can you know how strong you can be unless you go weak? How can you know how much you can be loved unless you let people love you? The truth is that no matter how successful and rich and beautiful you are, you can't repair your own Mercedes without mechanic, you cannot fix the wires so that the beautiful chandelier lights up, you cannot treat yourself when you are sick, you cannot clean up the entire mansion all day every day. Independence doesn't mean you don't let people help you. It means to be capable enough to help yourself when people don't. And if you won't love someone, how can you ever see the everglow?

I have seen all the versions of this song. But this has to be the most beautiful and in depth interpretation. It is rather brave to choose to continue dancing alone, but she did it so beautifully because her partners everglow was with her. Lifting her up, pushing her, till she finishes the song. Eyyy that's life for you. Not all people stay. Sometimes you get left behind. So you move on. But you never stop dancing, with that beautiful everglow. I discovered Everglow only about 3 months ago, while I was going through a rough patch in life. Lots of letting go, and a few steps forward to new, unfamiliar directions. While braving through, I made many playlists to help me calm down whenever I had/have bad days. This song is in the top five of one of those playlist. My 3 AM playlist. Music really does save lives! This song is for all the people I have loved and lost, the people who chose to stay, the people who touched my heart and influence my life, and for all the people I want to hold onto. For all the people who left a piece of their beautiful everglow in me. "I will never regret." Lucky to be alive in the same era as Coldplay.

So I was reading an analysis of the video. It's about the background of this video which is the story between this ice-skater and her partner (Lover) "G&G". So later her lover died. And she began to do this alone. As you can see, there are some moves that can't be done by one person. Anyway, it's more about this tragic love story behind the scene.(Sry about my poor English skill😅)

This is one of those rare songs which make you think deep about yourself and loved ones. It makes you sit still and creates a lump in throat because you're about to cry. I have lived with my family since my birth and I am in my early 20s. Being an Indian, it's not a big deal that you live with your parents in your 20s. And this song, created flashbacks in front of my eyes about how they have raised me. I really hope everyone, everyone have healthy relationships with their loved ones. Life is short for real but love, only love can make it longer.

This song-video is a time-space machine. I keep starting to watch it and I get transported to another part of my life, sometimes in the past, sometimes in the future. Sometimes I will be in the middle of a dream-conversation when the song ends (and I get pulled/brought back), and I have to quickly click replay so that I can get transported back to where the dream-conversation left off. I must have played this a hundred times and I still have yet been able to focus on the entire video.

A very close friend of mine passed away on my birthday last year. She had no prior health issues and fell dead where was standing just moments before. As it turns out, it was an undiagnosed heart condition. I love and miss her so much. She left behind a 5 year old son. Almost everyday there is something I will think of and reach for my phone to text her only to remember shes gone. Please, if you read this, everytime you spend time with someone you love, be mindful of that moment. Megan and I cant do that anymore but you can. Enjoy and be happy. Best wishes to all of you. My dad died a week ago, after battling with colon cancer for exactly one year, and I said I love you and kissed him on his head before leaving the hospital at 18:45pm. We were coming back, then the nurses called and said we needed to come back quick, we raced through and were literally minutes too late. I am so greatful for spending time with my dad and telling him how much I love him. This song could not have been written more direct to my heart which is heartbroken....love you dad.

He devastatingly took his life. Ever since a big part of me is for ever lost. This song and this interpretation terribly made me think of him, and yet I am so thankful for it. This song is already sad. But the way its interpreted in this video makes it cut deeper. Even tho the partner of the ice skater is not there anymore, he/she left an incredible everglow that helps the skater maneuver thru ice/life. On the cold ice, that everglow warms and lights the way. That everglow lifts the skater up and helps her thru the hardest challenges. Just like when someone very dear to us, has to leave forever. The inevitable goodbye. We are left with their bitter sweet "everglow" 💫💫💫
