what people fail to realize is, is that the first song on this video is called "Fly On" and the hidden song after the silence gap is called "O" and if you listen to "O (Reprise)" then you'll piece those 2 together. Also "O" acts as the song which brings the album full circle as the beginning to "Always In My Head" sounds similar to the Beginning of "O" which can probably explain the cyclical nature of the album. It happened before on Viva La Vida or Death & All His Friends with Life In Technicolor and The Escapist acting as songs which make the album "Full Circle" :)
+Joe Dewick It almost sort of happened with Mylo too, very first track was Mylo Xyloto and A Hopeful Transmission is very reminiscent of it, kind of making you stop for a moment before the closing DLIBYH and Up With The Birds plays. Not as obvious as Viva or GS, or arguably AHFOD, but it's still there a little.
Tommy Sandal That's the clever Genius of Coldplay, either having a cyclical nature for albums or having recurring motifs throughout :) Similar to concept albums tbh and also Brian Eno on "Apollo: Atmospheres and Soundtracks", there's 3 recurring elements in that album! i think he might've taught Martin and Co. a thing or 2 about recurring elements in albums :)
You know, I have to always say this somewhere some how... I love Coldplay's Music NO matter if you see it as old, or new.... It's still coldplay and thats what I love... this goes for other bands I enjoy as well..
Flock of birds Hovering above Just a flock of birds It's how you think of love And I always Look up to the sky Pray before the dawn 'Cause they fly always Sometimes they arrive Sometimes they are gone They fly on Flock of birds Hovering above Into smoke I'm turned And rise following them up Still I always Look up to the sky Pray before the dawn 'Cause they fly away One minute they arrive, Next you know they're gone They fly on Fly on So fly on Ride through Maybe one day I'll fly next to you Fly on, ride through Maybe one day I can fly with you
I just wanna thank everybody for making this the most viewed video of mine by over 200k! Thank you to those who have shared their personal ties to this beautiful masterpiece in the comment section...I'm sure Coldplay has healed a lot of wounds...I'm a singer myself and I hope one day I can make music that touches others as much as Coldplay did you...but for now go ahead and hit that subscribe button and take a look at the channel that brings Real Music that touches the world and brings different people from all around the world onto one platform of RealMusicSS. Thank You :)
+Gerjan Kuilder music was created to praise God and anything else is secular. ppl hav perverted music no matter how beautiful it sounds. I'm a 15 yr old coldplay fan and I still kno the truth about what music should be
+tyyler jooseph That's not how I see it. Music is here to please ourselves, to tell our stories in rythms and greatly composed lyrics. To rest our souls, to speak from the heart, to let go, to feel... Not to praise some god. If you want to live your life thinking 'everything is god', then I am fine with that. But then you still have a lot to learn.
I never knew the ending of this song, I would just skip once the long pause came.... but while at work listening... It ran. Missing my mom, I felt this as her presence, talking to me. Thank you God.
Same here but not in a bad way more like a way that I want my friends and family to see that I will be in a better place and that even if I’m not in this world I’m still here with everyone and they are still hole and not empty without me
Maybe my favorite song. Not just Coldplay, favorite song period. It's so breathtakingly gorgeous, it sounds like a kind of dream that you can get lost in, but don't want to leave.
This song is like my all time favorite. It is so mellow and pleasing and deep. Very few songs move me and make me feel so happy about life. Like, y'know..Give me a reason to hope. The melody and the lyrics. So beautiful. Mesmerizing AF. I need more songs like this. O. I'm SO gonna get this tattooed. :3
"So fly on... ride trough... maybe one day I'll fly next to you... fly on... ride trough... maybe one day I cn fly with you... fly on... don't ever let go..." this song always make me cry :'(
This song is so incredible. It is very sad but leaves a bit of hope at the end. Maybe one day I'll fly next to you. Maybe one day I can fly with you. So 'maybe' he will be next to or even together with the person he loves, but that will probably not be in this life, but in life after death.
I've never been a big fan of theirs but I do like their music. But this album "Ghost Stories" is truly the best they've ever made. Whenever I listen to this album especially Another's Arms, O, and Midnight really inspires me with my own stories or when I read a book. Like for an example.. the book Birdsong.. when I read that book and even after I watch the TV movie I get all these images in my head or something deep inside me.. well it's kinda hard to explain but these songs are really inspirational. Also I do suggest people to read and watch Birdsong and if you have... RIGHT ON!
Listen to first two albums they're fantastic x and y is good so is viva la vida ghost stories is good the other two are meh imo but still have some good songs
I've first heard of Coldplay since Yellow came out. I was 8 years old :O ( I feel old now ha-ha ). But Ghost Stories is the only album that really captivates me and gets me super inspired on my stories :)
+ThisIsCivic The funny thing is that after a few streaming before Ghost Stories was released, I really didn't like the album at all. However, when Spotify was launched in Canada, that album was available for streaming. I gave it another chance and somehow I now love it. Midnight and O (including the hidden track) are my two favourite songs on this album. Soft, yet quiet and peaceful without the cheese.
Feeling the gentleness of flying, high above the earth, the simple pureness within the soul, spirit in flight as a bird high above, looking upon earth from a birds eye view, wonderous, never ending, in flight into the universe.......
Acho que ainda existe seres românticos real adulto se ouve as únicas de coldey e se pensa assim quanta gente solitária em busca de alguém pra vc ver um grande love kkk
I just came here to comment that in the beginning of the extended portion it sounds like they're saying "lot of caffeine" over and over and I can't stop hearing that XD. Also, this song is so, so good.
Scratch para todos because they're not exactly the same song, the second one is a hidden track in the album that you can only find if you keep the record going. They've done it before, many different times ;)
