watching this backwards, am i the only one who sees that car crash was total bullshit? like, the part where his girlfriend goes through the windshield? the car just kinda lands and she looks like superwoman flying out to save the day

Seriously. This song in reverse, live was something else. So awesome they included it in their set. I really like that they capture footage while performing and play it in reverse while playing this. Brilliant
That's quite true, come to think of it if you actually pay attention to the lyrics it may sound a lot sadder(To me at first, not any more...). Also to me, many people are saying that the car accident was fake oh, I'm thinking about it right now seeing if it's true. In my opinion it's true!!!
I just realised how strange the crash was...he went through the fence driving forward, down the hill sideways, and landed in a random clearing in a forest with no hill anywhere. The girl then went out of the window for some reason even though the car went down sideways meaning that she would have hit her head on the side window... not gone through the windscreen.
Yeah, and people didn't realise that Chris Martin was walking among them at the streets, they didn't congrat him about his works, no they just ignored him :v

***** Man, What a wild night. First, my friend slipped me something in my drink, told me it would be fun. All of a sudden, I was in a car with a really nice girl. When, out of no where, we crash into whatever, and the car tumbles. This is where it gets weird. When I come to, The girl is no where to be seen, but some dude is lying ahead of the car, which somehow isn't even scratched. Then everything went all slow-mo, and I was in some sort of forest. After more digressing,I woke up in the middle of the street. That was some crazy shrooms.
Yeah I noticed that in the original video, that the car was fine after the crash (or before the crash, in the case of the original video), but you don’t notice the jumping out of the window thing in the original.
Chris had to learn the lyrics backwards and also when they recorded the video they did it at double speed so they can use an slow motion having the same tempo as the song
Matthew G wrong use of smiley, homeboi and learning the lyrics backwards is impractical. why would you fucking learn them really good backwards for the song? y'know they did something almost EXACTLY like this in one of george watsky's songs. look up "george watsky all you can do behind the scenes"
It represents a heart attack probably. A few moments ago he was holding his arm and after he fell he didn't fall asleep, he was having a seizure. Just a guess though.

Words cannot describe how amazing this is. And the fact Chris had to learn to actually say some words backwards for the video effect is even more amazing.
as a songwriter you know you have a damn good song even if it sounds emotionally right played in reverse, sometimes thats just the way the brain works I guess

This is awesome. You switch the disturbing backwards motion for the disturbing backwards music. I always thought the physics of the car crash didn't make sense, and seeing it in forward motion confirms it. Why didn't the girl fly through the windshield until the car stopped rolling? Why was the car dented up when it rolled down the hill but not when it came to rest? Etc. Anyway, great job.

Funny how a lot of conspiracy theorist will take the mainstream media and play a song backwards just to unlock the "upside down" message, but obviously this is more a visual message being deciphered which is really interesting. Although the car accident physics looks terrible going forward. I liked it better backwards, I couldn't even tell it looked implausible.
