Lora Harvey, thank you for your kind words. My husband of 35 yrs passed away 9 yrs ago. I can tell you that it really does get better with time and the help of the good Lord. After all this time their is not a day that I don’t think about him. I still have bad days sometimes to the point I can’t breathe. My grief comes in waves. I don’t even try to fight it anymore. I just go with it till it passes. I pray that God gives you strength and comfort when you need it. I prayed to God one night when I felt like I couldn’t go on without my husband. I ask him for comfort and strength. I felt a peace come over me. For the first time since his death, I slept. 🙏

@@rebeccathomas6613 i have not slept more than an hour an a half at night since he has been gone. His clothes and everything is where he left it. His mom came in to box them up and i about had a anxiety attack and all but kicked her out. I fight it and i know i do. And keeping him alive in my mind is not good. I try not to but i dont know how to do this. It gets to hurting so bad that i go downstairs and use the punching bags and martial arts equipment that i teach my girls on. Im so angry all the time at myself for not recognizing his symptoms. Im so exhausted but cannot sleep. I need help and i know i do.

Lora Harvey I know what you’re going through Lora. I stayed in bed for 2 weeks right after my Bob died. I didn’t shower or take care of myself at all. I lived on Gingerale and saltines. I would take his cologne and put it on his pillow. Just to smell him and breathe him in. My Daughter called my Son and they made me a appointment with a Psychiatrist and a therapist. I must admit it helped. Please make yourself an appointment with someone. It’s ok to ask for help. You must go on for your children. They need you to be there for them. They are grieving too. You are in my prayers. We have just get up an put one foot in front of the other until we can do better sweetie. I promise you it will get better.
