The reason why this game is so fantastic is because this actually happened. When Cole Younger was captured after trying to rob a bank and killing the cashier, he said "We tried a desperate game and lost".
@@Lenni.tthat man was shot 11 times during that raid. Watched his brother live through a life prison sentence than kill himself and work with the Brother of a man who bertrayed him. HERO.
Fun side note, any time uncle is singing, that is the original voice actor who played him in red dead one. He recorded songs before he died but no dialogue
I think Cole Younger is the closest real life outlaw to high honor Arthur, as far as personality goes. The difference is that Cole spent half his life in prison. He didn’t get out until the Wild West was over.
Bro Cole was so much cooler than Jesse and Frank was just as cool. Cole was like the muscle man gun expert of the group considering his expertise as a captain with bloody Bill in the civil war.
Lyrics: I am a band of highway men, Jack Hall is my name, My crimes and depredations brought my friends to shame, Robbing o' the North Field Bank the same I can't deny, For now I am a prisoner in the Stillwater Jail I lie! Tis of a bold high robbery a story to you I'll tell, Of a California miner who unto us befell, Robbed him of his money and bid him go his way, For which I will be sorry of until my dying day! And then we rode toward Texas through dust and fierce heat, Across the Nebraska prairies the Miller boys we did meet, Knives, guns, and revolvers, we all set down to play, A drinking of good whiskey to pass the time away! A Central Union Railway train was the next we did surprise, The crimes we done by our bloody hands bring tears into my eyes. The engineer man, the fireman killed, the conductor escaped alive, And now their bones lie molten beneath the Nebraska skies! Then we sat on horses, north westward we did go, To godforsaken country, they call it Misadio! Had my eye on the Northfield Bank when Brother Bob did say, Now Jack if you undertake the job you sure will curse the day! But I stationed out my pickets, up to the bank did go, And there upon the counter I struck my fatal blow. Just hand us all the money, and make no further delay For we are the famous Hall Brothers, we spare no time to pray! Then came a rain of bullets, my brothers and I fled, But they just kept on coming, shooting us until we bled! So now I sit in jail to settle accounts and pay the cost We tried a desperate game in life, we tried that game and lost!
For 5 years, i have been searching for THIS song. I only ever heard it in the distance on my first playthrough, cause drunk reverand swanson needed priority according to the game 😑. No amount of googling the lyrics helped. It got to the point that i convinced myself i somehow made it up. Until tonight i let youtube take the wheel while doing dishes. Thank the gods for this. Thank YOU for deciding to do this. Instant subscriber.
Cole was literally Arthur Morgan to the “James boys” which was the “James youngers” known by most law officials. He was the muscle man of the group. Being the oldest next to Frank James and had to most experience in weapons and combat given his experience as a captain in the confederate army
@@KalmanfMusicChannel MacGuire means, the original voice actor who was hired to play 'Uncle' died before the game's completion, so R* hired a new actor -- the one we hear throughout the game -- to play the part.
So that would also techninally mean that jack hall lived till after the entire gang. Wrote a book about why you shouldn’t Be an outlaw. Worked with Barnum and Bailey then became a professor
@@johnmarston-yi4xyArthur is the muscle of the gang. The gun man. He is also considered the “vault man” by closer members of the gang. The same job cole younger had given his expertise as a scout in the civil war. Cole was often the door watcher on bank heists and first one to press train cars during train robberies. He rarely ever rode with stagecoach targets as he waited in crossroads to halt the driver with a gun.
