@@LatkaKaufman I did. I used it right next to Aber Falls, a stunning waterfall. It’s a perfect small tent, it’s more of a one man tent though if you want a little room for yourself.
After going through several tunnel tents I realised I prefer to have height. I have just brought one of these as it’s pack size is great for having on my bike and you can actually sit up in it. Thanks for the review 👍🏻
First cross the poles so the extremes point towars each corner of the tent(with all just lying loose in the ground). At the very center of the tent you can tie it up to the poles, so when you arc the poles up they will lift the tent (making it look like a pyramid). After that you should clip the ring pins to the poles. Thats the propperly way
For the money its a fantastic tent. I'd buy it...had Coleman 2 man tent before, and it was worth its money for sure. Shame its not fly sheet up first. That way the inner tent would stay dry when erecting the tent. Hardly a deal breaker at that price though.
Starting with the inner tent is way easier than starting with the fly. That's what I like about the Coleman Darwin. With other models like the Scorpio 2 you have to "climb" inside to attach the inner tent. On the Darwin the snow can freely fall down too.
lol I was trying to pitch the tent with the sheet because I thought the actual tent was the sheet and the sheet was the tent. Don't ask me why because the more I think about it the more I realize how stupid that is. It is my first ever tent and I have never seen anyone pitch a tent in my life.
Little bit annoying that all the bits I wanted to actually see how to do, with the ring and pins, were off camera and I couldn't see what you were doing at all.
At 4:56 we zoomed in to try and show how the ring and pin worked, but it is a little hard to see. The metal pin that is attached to the ring just needs to poke into the end of the pole. Hope this helps
