Crusaders moved level on points with Premiership leaders Linfield by winning their 10th league match in a row.
Skipper Colin Coates headed the Crues into the lead in the second minute but Coleraine equalised when Darren Boyce ran through to beat Chris Keenan.
Declan Caddell powered in a header from a nice cross by David McMaster to restore the Crues lead on 59 minutes.
Caddell scored again by following up after a first shot by Jordan Owens had come off the base of an upright.
Caddell tried to complete a hat-trick but saw his strong header saved by David O'Hare late on.
Substitute Vincent Sweeney also went close to grabbing a fourth for the visitors but the ball was deflected wide for a corner.
It was the first time Coleraine had lost in the league under new manager Oran Kearney and ended the Bannsiders' hopes of a top-six finish.
The Crues are now tied with the champions on 67 points at the top of the table but Linfield's goal difference is better by 24.
