This was heartbreaking! He is soo misunderstood. Our poor boy. He can only be himself with Penelope. That's love. 😩❤️‍🔥

Colin was a boy not taken seriously by his family and peers so he changed. Became what the ton expected but found it hollow. Its taking awhile but he is getting to become his own man. With Penolope and society.

I do like his character development from a boy to a man.

This is so beautiful. I will never understand the hate. Just because he wasn’t aware of Penelope’s feelings for him, doesn’t mean he wasn’t aware of Penelope herself. He cares so much about so many, and he deserves to be happy. It’s half of what makes Polin so very appealing. Him finally realizing he has loved Penelope the whole time is so satisfying. I love their love. 💖💙

Beautiful edit 🥹 Colin didn't have to change at all, because Penelope always loved him the way he is .. kind, sensitive man. They are the most beautiful couple from the show, they have something truly special. Not only true, deep love but also beautiful friendship. I feel like Violet will be so happy because this is what she had with Edmund herself.

Thank you for this video! Too many people miss or dismiss the pain in Colin's story. They just see him as the handsome rich boy who hurt Penelope, and it breaks my heart!

Colin has always been my favorite Bridgerton and he deserves the world.

He reminds me of Adam from beauty and the beast he gets judged before people can get to him. Because of this he doesn’t even know himself but once he lets his walls down we can see his kindness and compassion and that he has a good heart ❤️.

Thank you for this edit! I feel like everyone came into this season expecting it to be like Daphne/Simon and Anthony/Kate, that they missed all of the groundwork that was done in those seasons with Colin and Pen. It was obvious to me that Colin has had feelings for Pen for a long time now, so it wasn't sudden as everyone said it felt, it was a palpable shift after their first kiss but the love was always there. I honestly am loving this season, because it's different than the other loves.

I hated what he said at the end of s2 but then again he did say a lotta things to just fit in with his useless frnds .. pen gave it back to him immediately in the next season but then he redeemed himself this season... I would just want an entire episode in just colin, who is he as a person and his thoughts , his perspective on everything happening arnd ..

And ruined the entire story 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹 (Colin had been taught, all his young life, that it was his duty as a gentleman to protect, care for, and defend the fairer sex.) Colin declaring that he is a true gentleman in season 1. [Means] As a gentlemen he considered himself worthy of veneration due to earn respect not handed it on a silver platter, his unearned entitlement had never warped his sense of moral conscience. He does not see women as decorative object or a prize to be won. 🥇 This is why Penelope loves him. ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️ I honestly won’t ever forgive the writers for ruining the character. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊 When they took Colins, sweet innocence and naivety. They took something special from him. Because the way that Penelope loves, Colin is so innocent 😇 and pure. Having Violet do a scene saying how sensitive and different. Colin is. Doesn’t salvage the damage that they’ve done. You know what they could’ve done and said they could’ve showed us that he was this person. Instead of breaking the number one ☝️ visual media rule show and tell, don’t just tell. 🌏🌏🌏🌏🌏🌏🌏🌏🌏🌏🌏🌏🌏Colins desire to travel 🧳 is not to Rake across the continent 🌏having sex escapades, to fetishize it into his journal 📔 he travels for beauty for adventure architecture, culture and history because he’s a nerd 🧐 just like Penelope. The fact is, Colin was a different character. He was set up to be a different character. (TVShow Colin) why couldn’t he be the sweet💛Hufflepuff🦡. Foodie 🍰who seek purpose and greater meaning with his life with intimacy? 😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞 Imagine if he’d come back as hot, sturdy Colin but still had his puppy 🐶 energy. Had all the ladies swooning over him but he doesn’t pay any attention because he’s focused on Pen’s lessons. Then he notices all the attention he’s getting because there’s one person who he’s not getting attention from anymore because the lessons work. When I think 🤔 on it, a few more things bother me about the plot. 😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔 1. Pen doesn’t write Colin back during his travels. Why didn’t that bother him? Because if he had feelings all along (I think he did and S2 had us believing he did) then he should have been increasingly unhinged by not hearing back from her. And worried about her. 2. This is a man who pledged to take care of her in season 2. Where is he? Instead he just goes off to be a slut in 17 cities? And doesn’t give two shits about a friend not writing him back? Just goes and fucks some more sex workers and Countesses? Let me write about it in my journals too! 3. His apology was glib and unworthy of Penelope and their friendship. They made it about Penelope thinking she is unworthy not Colin being a drunk ass and insulting her to eligible bachelors/her chances on the marriage mart. 4.He didn’t bring presents🎁 back for her. So was he even thinking 💭 about her ? At all ? You would think when you’re shopping for presents for everybody someone who special to you would be on your mind to get them something. 5.Colin comes back does the same whoring about the entire time he is teaching Penelope lessons (for weeks apparently) and then kisses her because he feels sorry for her. Ugh that is so gross to me. 6.Then because he is supposedly so despondent over Pen having a suitor, he goes back to fuck some sex workers again. 7.He only gets up enough courage to tell Penelope how he feels once he knows she is getting proposed to. Like he couldn’t call on her, not even once, or bribe her maid again, to see her and explain how he feels. Instead it’s poor me me me me…. I keep asking myself why I should want ShondaColin with Penelope. She deserves sooo much better than him. Ugh… 😣 💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋 It would’ve been just as spicy 🥵 repressed newly discovering virgins. There is such a thing as horny virgins. The excited exploration. The cute hilarious awkwardness. The wonder of a whole New World unlocked Wasted potential. (The fanfic did it better.) First awakenings are extremely sexy. And there’s so much more special. 🏝️🏝️🏝️🏝️🏝️🏝️🏝️🏝️🏝️🏝️🏝️🏝️🏝️ if the two teens in blue Lagoon could figure it out on the deserted island. 🏝️ there’s no reason why Colin and Penelope can’t figure it out especially since Colin has the knowledge of the logistics of how it works. The friends to lover audience. Are deeply romantic we don’t want frivolous fucking. This was supposed to be our season. We were robbed of something beautiful 😍 I specifically only wanted him to be a whore for Penelope. Only Rabbid for Penelope. I wanted her to be his first kiss and first time, especially since we were getting a secondhand proposal. now she gets no first and everything is secondhanded and a hand me down. Because Penelope and Colin are sentimental writers ✍🏻 who document every monumental event in their life’s. We as the romantic fan base were expecting The friends to lover❤️Trope. To be more intimate. A story where Colin and Penelope have their first awakening together. I was hoping that the show would give me an improved version of Odysseus the wayward wanderer. as Colin. 🗺️I didn’t like Greek myth Odysseus. I didn’t think he deserved faithfully waiting Penelope. 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮 The disgusting mentality of a Rake an insecure man who uses women and their bodies as less so they can feel like more. Throwing money at systematically oppressed women for cheap thrills, isn’t sexy it’s not romantic. Only for his soulmate to change him. They didn’t have to make him a Rake to tell the same story of insecurity. 🎪🎪🎪🎪🎪🎪🎪🎪🎪🎪🎪🎪🎪 I had no problem with him being a Showboat, who is charming with a false public image. Him being a virgin erotic writer. Would show that Colin has dichotomy and layers to him like Penelope who is whistledown and people think she’s more mature or older than she is. 🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠 Why keep telling the same story about a rake. Who’s raking away his problems until. The soulmate changes him. The story had so much potential and they could’ve done it better without the Rake plot. The friends to lover. Trope. Is for the deeply romantic. 🥰 it’s the innocence of love. ❤️ they alienated Colin for his fan base. When they made him into a wannabe Casanova. They could easily made him a fake Casanova who’s just lying 🤥 to fit in. That would’ve been something different. It would’ve made him more endearing and intriguing instead of another. Man Whore
