Drummond has decent feet. Very athletic. A whole summer and season with Vogel the defensive potential is actually pretty high. Offense a bit limited, but surprisingly better than the rest of his career. Great regular season keep/playoff matchup option

I’d honestly probably agree with Colin on all of these, to be realistic. I think Lebron likes Caruso and KCP enough to make the office keep them, and I don’t think they’ll want the Drummond signing to look like a bust so they’ll keep him, and AD will likely want to stay. All the others will likely get either bought by other teams or shooed out the door by Lebron.

Gasol needs to Stay . He fits our team for playoffs. There will be some series where he starts and some when he doesn’t . He’ll be cheap as well and spreads the floor very well with his 3 ball and passing ability

Gasol is way to immobile to be effective on Pick and Rolls and most playoff teams will try and play Anybody Offense on him. I'm just spitballing a few replacements but the F.A. class of 2021 has some aight big men shooters. IIRC Holmes, Zeller and Hernangomez can stretch the floor well, and are both much more athletic than Gasol, especially the first two.

Kuzma is a perfect example of why LeBron is not the great leader people people give him credit for (as well as KCP and Danny Green as examples too in some respects). He intimidates them and they never feel free to be themselves so you don’t get the best out of them. This is because he commands so much gravity due to his immense talent and resume. But to make his teammates better he needs to be able to relate to them as in their shoes. ALL the young guys who got traded when LeBron came to LA are flourishing. Kuz needs to go for his own good. Hopefully he will be able to get his confidence back because he does have talent but he needs a more nurturing environment.

I don't know, I thought Montrez played great in the regular season, on many occasions he was our third or fourth highest scorer. In the playoffs he didn't get much time, which is on the coach. Frankly, I'd be looking for an improvement on Vogel. Why is it that Lakers seem to be the only team unable to step up, when it's stars go down?

@@danielsnipes5397 Jordan didn't recruit other superstars to his team, he chose to beat them instead. Jordan didn't need to jump from team to team, looking for the most optimal situation. Jordan built a franchise and legacy, LeBron wants those things handed to him. LeBron is the most fraudulent "superstar" to ever step foot on an NBA court.

@@boots796 lebron didn’t recruit any superstars take an L there lebron only played for 3 teams and the m first Lakers team and cavs team he had were trash and they still went to the finals in 2007 the Lakers were 4th seed before bron was injured and lebron has to go through the monster teams Jordan and the bulls were the monster team so bron had way tougher comp then jordan had and yea the only dude to score 25 ppg for 17 straight seasons is a fraud then so is Jordan cuz he couldn’t even do that

If contracts aren't an issue, the lakers should try to keep everyone. They will be hungry next season. You have to remember they played really well earlier in the season before injuries happened. I think the reasons they struggled a lot this season are the lack of rest and out of shape due to short offseason which all led to injuries.

Cant really argue with these points. Although I think Caruso/Drummond/KCP are very replaceable as well. At the end of the day you have to fill out your roster. The problem with the lakers is they pay max contracts to aging all stars. Your value goes down with age but their paychecks go up, it is backwards.

The only thing I don't agree with is keeping Drummond and loosing trez. Drummond is too slow. Trez has more scoring but wasn't given the minutes. Plus he brings alot of energy on the court
