My dad was at school with Colin in the 60s. They were good friends. They had a little reunion a few years ago when Colin returned to his home town of Saltcoats for a gig. That was great. I believe He actually mentions my Dad in an interview a few years ago on ABC.
@@Gaming_with_Jacko He was born in Kilwinning as were the large majority of people from the Three Towns area in Ayrshire as that is where babies were delivered at the time. However, he grew up in a house in Raise Street, Saltcoats before moving to Hamilton Street, Saltcoats. My father was also born in Kilwinning and that is on his birth certificate, though he never lived there 🙂

The guy has always been purely classy. He gave that interview at around the height of MAW popularity and he's just a man here. Matter of fact with no bs conceit or condescension detectable. I can admire him for many things, but this is a real jem in this manner of "I'm just a guy and we are all the same" behavior, even to this day. He's really great!

So strange why he dropped his Scottish accent to adopt an Australian accent only to later drop the Australian accent in favour of a returning to his Scottish accent! Maybe next time he might appear with an American accent!
What a fkng prick this so-called interviewer is, clearly loves himself waaay too much. Colin, rightly, was not interested in gossip trash and gave a very thorough and measured reply re current band state. Unfortunately, for this shit eating prick that was never going to do. It's a damn pity Colin didn't get up and walk out - too much of a gentleman for that.
