The "number" isn't a phone number. In this magazine, Anna Faris's character sees something that's like there's a certain 'number' of people you date/sleep with before you can no longer find a good husband. So she tries to find a husband among her exs, and he helps her with that while she helps him escape his exs. (if that was wrong please excuse it that was from memory, and I don't think I even finished the movie however many years ago I watched it)
