It was a great line but the problem with Kuenssberg isn't her journalism but her ridiculous level of partisanship. She can actually make politicians squirm like you'd hope a journalist would. Didn't Farbage find that out a few days ago? It's just that if she'd have to wear her tory-bias on her sleeve the rest of the world would go through a historic and crippling 10-year long sleeve shortage. Lobster-red arms everywhere for over a decade, it doesn't bear thinking about.

If that's what counts as 'far-left extremism' then what exactly is right-wing now? They've pushed the overton window so far to the right that even Ghengis Khan is a moderate in their eyes.
Australia had a "stop the boats" minister who did an interview that was so bizarre that two comedians who at the end of every week did a bit where they parodied a politician could only lip synk the interview because it was so unhinged. The minister in question went on to become Prime Minister. (if interested look up Dawes and Clark, Morrison parody.)

More realistically, they'll implement a slightly milder form of austerity than the Tories, doing nothing to address the structural economic problems resulting from historically high levels of both personal wealth inequality, and inequality between state and private wealth. I wish "better than the Tories" weren't such a low bar.

A concept that doesn’t exist in British politics. If a vote required 2/3 of MPs to vote in favour for it to pass, it would require a supermajority. Whereas our parliamentary votes just require 50%+1.
@@joshuaparrott2458 I should also have said that 2/3 was just an example. It can apply to any split that’s not 51/49. So 60%, 70% etc. The Tory 80 seat majority was a supermajority. Its used in the US, and probably other countries but not here.
Having a larger majority means you can pass stuff with less support from your party. It does allow shoving through unpopular policies through for better and for worse
It’s come to a sad pass when you can’t distinguish between genuine political tripe and satire. A supermajority only means anything if it’s needed to amend a written constitution, such as in the U.S., in Britain it doesn’t matter, there is no constitution to amend. A simple majority of one makes the governing party.
Once again, an in-depth analysis of British politics, Colin only forgot to mention "15 minute cities" but that will come. If Colin is going to stand for parliament in the forthcoming election, I'd vote for him and so would matron. But love to the family Colin, love to the family.
