uhhmmm you need to listen more my friend 😉 SJ is my favorite dj and one of the the biggest character in techno, but this set is mediocore from them. (Thats mainly due to the 201x era, techno was “vegan and lactose free “)
@@abusalem411 Absolutely don't agree! Playstyles evolve and this was the speed that was being played 10 yrs ago. Their style was more spacey and deep back then. For example take their last Time-warp set, this one is way more up-tempo, and fits a more raw punchy style. Both high class performances IMO. Glad to be able to listen to a bit of history!
@@artifact1901 Don’t get me wrong, it’s not about the play style or tempo, I have zero issue with a deep laidback style. In fact one of my all-time favourite mix is the CLR Podcast 217 (Speedy J) which is basically dubtechno all long. Masterpiece. Im not saying this set is garbage, but was born in the age of shitty bubbly wobbly clearly mastered minimaltechno, which infected the entire techno scene, but probably don’t have to explain for you. And this is in the top 10% of that era, others gone way off the track. Even scranz/hardtechno djs changed genre. It was a huge business (apparently). But it is very subjective topic, and it is just my opinion based on my personal preferences🤷🏼♂️ It was part of their journey, their matured and gained experience. My personal favourite project from SJ is his Stoor nights. Excellent live jam of barely known artist for 8hrs.
