Lovely! A collage book helps you by practicing for future layouts and projects. This was well done. I very much enjoy your work - it is clean and precise. As an aside, I wanted to point out how proud I was when you mentioned that you would not use material from rationing in WWII in the collage. I live in Ottawa, Canada, where your Princess Margriet of the Netherlands was born. The Canadian government even passed a law wherein the maternity ward was declared "extra-territorial" so that the young Princess could still be born a "Dutchie", even though she was born here! Canadians are very proud of the role we played in the liberation of the Netherlands, and we are grateful for the millions of tulips your country has sent to ours in remembrance of this event. Sorry about the long post.

Beautiful. Another wonderful video. I'd live to see you step out of your comfort zone and do more shapes and not worry about going diagonal. We used to collage in a way so that you saw something no matter which way you turned it. Thank you for sharing. God bless.

I have only heard the term kiss cut in terms of cutting stickers (with a cutting machine)… “Kiss cutting is a method for cutting into a material where the upper layers are pierced, but the back layer is left intact. The term "kiss" refers to the way the blade touches the upper layers of the material and leaves a pattern or cut with a sufficient amount of force to leave an impression but not cut through the backside of the material.”

Yesss this is what I've heard as wel!! I kiss cut to make stickers. Fussy cutting is cutting an image. Although alot of people still call fussy cutting kiss cutting 🤷‍♀️

This is completely my thing. I do collage notebooks rather than junk journals. Thanks for this episode because I usually do neutral backgrounds. Now I can expand my "art".

The last few weeks when I haven't been having good days, my go to is mark making, but then I move onto collage. I have started doing collage on larger envelopes with a bit of a colour theme to it. Then they are ready to add to an appropriate journal, decorating it to suit the journal. I do find collage relaxing.

I agree. Cutting images is very relaxing and stress relieving. Have you thought of putting a light coat of ink behind your focal image. Just a hint… to set it apart. The second collage was great fun.

Thank you again for sharing awesome videos and ideas... I just have a quick suggestion about gluing pages... If you look for superglue mat you can use that for a "gluing page" its easy to wipe clean and the paper wont stick to it. I also use it for stamping on instead of stamping page... works like a charm...

wat weer een geweldig resultaat van je collages ! ik zou er zelf niet aan durven te denken om zoveel drukke printjes te gebruiken...maar het resultaat mag er zijn! en ja inderdaad , heel veel mooie grote platen in boeken...waar je normaal niet zo veel mee kunt. dank je wel voor je inspiratie en je gezellige geklets. 🤗😘😊

I can't cut a straight line either. Lol ! I tried cutting with big scissors but I'm left handed and learned using right handed scissors so I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not but I do better with smaller shears. I have a pair of lefty shears and can't maneuver them at all. Anyways I have to try collaging with bigger images, you have mastered it so I'm going to try it. Thank you for sharing Margreth. 🙂❤️

I believe the images you showed at beginning is referred to kiss cut, leaving a little bit of the white border. Fuzzy cut is cutting the image out without any border...I find both to be a very zen like experience 😊

I think the cat’s name is Robespierre. He looks French. And the little fairy is Maximilian, with Maxie as his nickname. He’s a little mischievous but cute!

Wow, love these (but I love everything you do, lol). If I give some feedback it is that I don't like the naked child waving the flag, and it is two faces together. But the way you have put images all over the pages and then added a cute large focal point is inspiring. You have a great eye for putting everything together.

We're here for another 4 days, and I'm having difficulty locating charity shops (I end up at clothing stores such as kawaii or Free P Star). Goto the back street and ask locals. Locals in coffee shops, etc would also be able to help. Your hotel staff would be another great place to seek out 'resale' shops. Our definition is often different in other countries. Ask for info on used book stores things like that.
