Another feature of these is that the individual components are replaceable. Which is huge for something with tiny pieces you could easily drop somewhere. I regularly use chopsticks and these are by far my favorite. They are a little slippery but I agree that the balance and well thought it design are worth the effort in my book.

Thank you for your video. Chopsticks 筷子 are good for eating Dim Sum, Sushi, Chow Mein or Ramen noodles. On the other hand, for eating peas or mashed potatoes, using a Spork, Fork or Spoon is a better choice than Chopsticks.

Coincidentally i just saw these at REI today, never seen them before. The price is just too insane IMO. Id maybe pay $30 with no case but will pass at $45 when i have plenty of lightweight wood, fiberglass, and metal chopsticks from home i can bring camping. I went to REI to get the snow peak fork and spoon set after watching your video on them because amazons price is way high for some reason but REI doesn't have them. Also hello as another Minnesotan! 👋

Oh I feel you Tusken. It is a ridiculous price point (though that seems to have kinda become my M.O. for gear reviews lately lol). But I feel like sometimes I can’t help but go that deep in the wallet to snag pieces of equipment that are starting to tread the board-line of art.

And I second that Jackdaw and your comment on Amazon pricing lately Tusken. I frequently do the REI route as an alternative and pick up all sorts of other stuff while I’m there that I probably don’t need hahah

@@milotash much agreed, Snow Peak is very aesthetic and functional. The more I explore it the more I realize how well thought out it is. For instance, I just realized the stand for the 26 cast iron combo also works for the smoker. It's hard to remember that intangible things like aesthetics have real value. Sure you could buy something less expensive... But are you really saving money if it's not satisfying and you end up buying more items over time to fill the gap?

Fantastic review. I love all of Snow Peak products. My first purchase was a titanium cup, green for me and blue for my son. The perfect size for a cup of Aeropress coffee. I would really enjoy an Aeropress review. Best wishes.

This was a really great review for SnowPeak Chopsticks 🥢 what I found helpful with this video was being able to actually put the wooden part of the chopstick inside the silver SnowPeak case for storage purposes! In addition, the pouch that it comes with is an excellent touch for the overall product! I already purchased these and are looking forward to using them.

@@milotash You’re welcome my Snow Peak chopsticks actually came in the mail today! That tip really came in handy because tightening the screw on the front of the chopstick keeps it keep it from moving around in the case itself! I even shook it in the case, and it wasn’t any sound of movement, but between eating foods like spaghetti, sushi, ramen and Chinese food in general the chopsticks will really come in handy!

I will agree, they are a bit top heavy. But they are indeed very pretty so it’s hard to stay mad at them for that.

Hmm, as a Northern Californian I’ve used chopsticks 🥢 for over 60 years, including a few years in a crazy Girl Scout troop where the kids thought alls you needed was a sierra cup & a pair of chopsticks to eat with on a camping trip. I’ve noticed that every Asian culture seems to have their own style of chopsticks. Those look interesting, so we’ll check them out on next field trip to REI. Keep reviewing those gizmos!
