Jamie Fox repeating Vincents words as Vincent for the very first time is almost exactly halfway in the movie. And when he does you are very much still in the scene with him, where he is in the moment. But it also made you look forward and know that there was going to be an actual collision with the Vincent character, and not simply getting steamrolled by Vincent. Its actually quite rare to have such a clear concise "here we go" kind of moment in a thriller.

Are they literally brothers? Who knows, but the two movies are connected in all sorts of ways, no doubt about it. Mann book ends the films with the same shot. Heat begins with a train entering a station, coming towards the camera and carrying the film's anti hero protagonist into the movie, so to speak. Collateral ends with a train leaving the very same station, moving away from the camera and the audience, carrying the (now dead) anti hero out of the movie. Such a small setting for a movie, given the size of Hollywood movies, but that intimacy makes it so focused. Love it.

Loved this, one of my favorite movies and fascinating to watch all that goes into making it. A classic no doubt.

Cruise killed it as Vincent. They could have made a series out of Vincent. Sucks that he was killed off.

Tom Cruise’s best film by far. Shows what he can do and it’s a lot.

I truly feel that If Heath was still here, Him and Mann would've already done something really cool.

This was an amazing movie 🍿 Tom Cruise should have gotten an Oscar nod for this. Not often does he play the bad guy.👍👍😎

Fantastic movie, and such and excellent attention to detail. Tom Cruise's weapons handling was superb, especially the alley shootout. He actually flips the flap of his jacket with one hand to get a clean draw with the other. Amazing, you have to catch it on slo-mo. 🙂

I like this movie - I watched it recently on Netflix in the UK. I didn’t really have any expectations I just put it on for background noise but ended up loving it.

I loved this movie, and I have seen it at least 20+ times because any time it was one, I would watch it. Also, Keanu Reeves is not the only badass.

I always thought that Vincent missing Max in their shootout at the end was a plot flaw. After watching this and knowing now that Vincent was going through his transformation, I think it's reasonable to say that he intentionally missed Max and this was Vincent's attempt at redemption

The biggest take-away I had after watching this movie was the performance of Tom Cruise, especially with his firearm handling. It was so good, so perfect I didn't think he was acting. I was convinced he WAS an assassin. His movements were so precise & so efficient, his gun handling so correct- it really sold me on his character being someone I should REALLY be scared of: IMPRESSIVE!
