it’s not called a volvo t cab, it’s the NH16. look up Volvo NH12 and you’ll see that they used to make european conventional cabs (like the american Volvo VNL) with the globetrotter cab
@@cjatruckphotos please don't tell me what it is! I know what it is I worked on them and I have a massive fleet of them that's worth £10 million and I'm about to get 10 more this coming week which are custom made with custom made never seen before ever
Imagine being so bitter in ur pathetic life to inform us of something so useless. + if Ben didnt like working with Tim, Im sure he would've quit by now. Salty dumbasses
At the start of the video I was thinking if Crouch Recovery had a T-Cab this is what it would look like. And lo and behold that's who this truck is for!!
Bit more of an exciting day than I had! - a 65 plate R450 with 700 odd thousand on the clock, but still seems to run as well as the day it was made, and a curtain side trailer with pallets of doors and frames for a building site in the middle of wembley, bugger it was tight! Not a scratch to add to her, though!
Great the T-Csb was right hand drive this time. One day Tim. The stack, hidden lockers on the wing and the pull out step & cat walk would look great on the 4 series.
Trucket Tim. From what i heard those 4 trucks made T-cabs: Scania, Volvo(they even got in the USA T-cabs), DAF And Iveco. The DAF one is called DAF XT and Iveco Strator.
@@editimisescu7945 there is a big difference between the US volvo's and the T-cabs in europe tho. In the US Volvo makes the trucks 100%. In europe Volvo doesnt make a T-cab at all. Also its a completely different noose and the cab itself is a lot different. A US Volvo isnt even allowed to drive in europe because its not getting through our crashtests. A US Volvo and a T-cab are 2 completely different things and not comparable. Also, from the DAF were only 2 T-cabs made. The Iveco are made by Iveco itself and not a third party like Vlastuin
Love your channel mate. Been following you from day one. As you probably know from some of the comments but I cannot wait to see you in your T-cab. But I reckon within 6 months from now. 💪🏽👌🏽👏🏽
I have to say, eventually Tim is going to have to do serious trucking work, nothing wrong having fun driving and delivering brand new trucks to the new owners, but reality is, he needs to get his own trucking business up and running because i havent seen much of him delivering real loads around UK or Europe for that matter... i would like to see him doing more videos of long and short hauls .... Go for it tim 👍
Still not got the hang of how the auto handbrake works 😂 Press the A button underneath it, A for auto it will then be the last time you will ever touch the handbrake switch. If you open the door, turn it off or take your seatbelt off the handbrake comes on as well as every time you come to a standstill. I’m surprised the Scania man didn’t explain how it works.
Crouch posted a photo of this a couple of weeks ago just after you posted the last video saying you were going back then it clicked you were picking it up😂
You would have hated my landing at Pisa last month. Genuinely thought we were off the end. Floor carpet moved a foot forward I was braking for the pilot that hard 😁 AND I spotted a T cab today. Woop
Not going to lie this is by far one of my favourite videos and knowing crouch I not far from me only up a few roads and I've got my car now so yeah definitely looking out for this one. Tho hope it's at Donnington truck show I've got a feeling if it's not on a job it will be. And I also know some crouch drivers use the air horns too if you gesture nicely. Can't wait to hopefully see this towing a trailer with something on it.
“And what extras would you like on your Hino?” 😂 As an American Tow operator, I’d have the same reaction as you! The Hinos are just no comparison to our Ford and Kenworth options.
I used to live in Holland sometimes back before moving to Toronto, and let me tell you that Nederland's is a very clean beautiful country with canals allover, windvanes all over nice tiny country,UK needs to catch-up especially the cleaness.
Holland is crap. Everyone carrying weapons, prices of everything are atleast double what they are in other countries, police does nothing except speeding tickets and breathelizer tests, we pay ridicoulous taxes and get nothing in return, government only cares about making money, democracy is a lie over here etc.
I was at a&m Warrington Tuesday tim dropping of two skelly trailers I saw crouchies tcab scania you're so lucky but a good driver to collect this or theys trucks
Hi Tim I have the privilege to drive my 770s and every day is absolutely perfect . I drive from North Scotland to different countries in Europe I have had my 770s for just over a year and I have promised my self that my next will be a brand new 770s or bigger from this conversion company what an outstanding Finnish on these trucks who knows I may be ordering my long nose when you come to order yours nice factory where dreams are made
Hello trucker Tim I really enjoy watching your videos they make me really happy all the time and your videos are fantastic and keep up the good work and I have subscribed to your channel and I am watching from new Zealand 🇳🇿
Scania is now owned by the Traton Group that also owns Navistar International. The new International S13 engine is basically a Scania DC13 engine. So Scania technology is already in America. I doubt they will introduce the Scania brand for trucks in America. Btw Scania sells marine and industrial versions of their engines in America. Until the early 1970's Scania actually made more bonneted than coe trucks. They stopped to make them in 2005 due to dramatically decreased demand during the previous ten years. The market for the T-cab has always been there but it's small.
@@ontheroadagain4773know your history, man. Scania was introduced in America in the early 80's long before Traton group, which is actually a subicidiary of Volkswagen Group, for starters. Anyway Bruce Wilson seems to be a man in a mission to bring BACK the brand.
Amazing videos and super entertaining. But can someone please explain why people pay serious money for a T cab conversion (and I assume its at least 75-150k on top of the base truck price)? Other than the looks the benefits are not obvious. The manufacturers are not stupid, there must be a reason Scania stopped selling factory T cabs. Volvo makes them in the US obviously but thats a different market with different rules.
Scania stopped making them in 2005 due to dramatically decreased demand during the previous ten years, especially in South America, which is a big market for Scania. In fact T stays for "Torpedo" and is used officially only by Scania. They're commonly called "hooded" or "bonneted" trucks. Volvo used the letter N, which stands for "nose". Why? Well, why do people pay a lot for example a Ferrari in countries with strict speed limits when they can get more comfortable, more reliable and more practical cars for much less money? I think it's pretty much the same 😊
Hey Tim, Welcome to the Netherlands (again). Congrads on getting the chance to drive that beautiful T-cab. btw.. the "ui" in Vlastuin are pronounced more like the "uy" in Guy :P
T-Cabs, a Doge Ram Pickup, and what ever that tiny car was. Lot's of cool, unusual vehicles in that area Edit: as a Hino owner in America definitely don't recommend them. Parts are expensive and most mechanics, except for the Japanese ones, don't know how to work on them.
Love your video's Tim! I keep checking your channel for new video's as I've ran out of videos to watch haha... Been watching while studying for my exams... Keep up the great work!!! I remember when you reacted to EVERYSINGLE comment haha
This guy is a pure graffter he never stops it pays good you can see it .TIM can you give the prices on these Tcabs or Anyone please .CANDY APPLE RED ,BUT NOW , MARAKESH BROWN, IS THE BEST COLOUR EVER .
Where do you get the people to sleep on a plane that hasn't taken off yet, that's two dutch trips plus to sleepy people sitting next to you. Beautiful truck yet again, you certainly are living the dream, plus you have found a new carear importing dutch trucks.
Tim, next time arrange to drive a truck (rigid) and trailer, that's a whole different ball game, I got my hgv in the UK now living in New Zealand where you see lots of truck and trailers. Take care bro
@trucker tim are you ever going to have a t cab yourself on the Chanel at some point and who owns the right hand drive t cab you said you would tell us
Tim, pro tip for pronouncing dutch. when you see 'ij' (like in nijmegen) it's pronounced as 'y'. so for example, nijmegen sounds more like nymegen. in dutch we have the short y (written as 'ei') and the long y (written as 'ij') they are both pronounced the same.
Get over that that T-cab over a cabover, no pun intended. It is about the dream of neither sitting on the engine nor sitting on the steering axle. Only those who have driven both can tell the difference. But agreed, the T-cab is a fail in the UK, I can state that because without a cabover it would be impossible to drive neither in London nor in the country roads I have been in the UK. The bottom line is there is no advantage at all, much for the contrary. In my case it is just about the dream of not being in Europe, but back in America. Somehow I got stuck here, and it sucks.
I can imagine how it feels driving that i really really hope you will get one for your self tim btw tim what type of t-cab truck you like most the volvo or scania
