Collecting Every Item In The Game! - SotN All Retro Achievements Speedrun (pt6) 

If you really wanted to get every item in the game you have to play the sega saturn version so you can get the god speed boots and alucards graphing calculator

I was recently playing SotN, and I was farming Schmoos for the Crissaegrim, I was only getting their Ramen drop. So I put on the Alucart set, Ring of Arcana and Verde(iirc), used a Luck potion for a total of 100 Luck, and prepared to grind for several hours. The first Schmoo I killed dropped it, and as I was leaving after filling in the Map section, the last Schmoo I killed dropped another one.

fastest way to grind familiars is inverted chapel, the swordguy in there is worth like 22 exp since it counts each of the floating bits as kills too, so you just pop in, nuke him, leave and re-enter, repeat until done. still takes an unreasonable amount of time though.

I remember farming for the Medusa Shield on the PSP version of SOTN in Dracula X Chronicles in my first playthrough, but I didn't have a Ring of Arcana or any decent farming strats. IIRC it took almost an hour in that one room in the Clock Tower for a drop.

It TAKES time to get!! Lots of farming BUT the best weapons to farm with is the CRISSEAGRIM!!!! took about 120-220 kills of SCHMOO!

After seeing how hard some of these achievements were *cough* trio *cough* I'm 💯 percent sure ur the first to get all of them

I adore Blasphemous but I fully agree with your take on it not really being a Metroidvania in the same way SotN is. The exploration obviously takes cues from Metroid, but beyond that they're entirely different. That said, for a lot of people the exploration is what makes a Metroidvania a Metroidvania, but to me it's the combination of the Metroid exploration and the RPG elements that SotN introduced. If you're only copying the exploration, it's basically a Metroid-like at that point since that was the part SotN borrowed from Metroid in the first place.

this and the boss challenges are whats keeping me from 100%ing this game, insane grind, spent 30 min on one enemy and it wouldnt drop it, guess i need to grind some levels to gain some base luck
