We have pellet guns, metal bb and plastic bb firing guns and I find the in our garden that pellet guns and plastic bb's are fine but the metal bb's are a bit dangerous as they tend to bounce back off the target sometimes, probably would be ok if we had a bigger garden. Great video Stan thanks for sharing 👍👍

Cheers blitz boys....yeh I get you...If anything I was trying to put across that 'gun' ownership shouldn't be scary and that responsible people like me and you should be able to have air guns etc...if this was licensed then I'd be ok with it...rather than an incident happening so that people are calling for bans on this and that....I hope that makes sense🙂🙂🙂

I think a collectors license is the perfect solution. I own 2 air rifles and 1 air pistol but I hope to eventually get more because I just love the sport. It shows responsibility on the owners behalf, great idea.

Cheers Nick....thanks for that...this would have the added bonus of separating the genuine collector or enthusiast from criminal elements and half wits.....illegal ownership of an air gun , deac, or replica etc your in trouble....sadly not everyone agrees with me, all the very best to you m8 🙂🙂😀

What should be made available to the uk collector ,but isnt,is the section 5 museum firearm license...giving the museum free range to collect firearms on the provisio they do not shoot them...at a recent show at the weekend, old spec deac weapons were on open sale....which was curious cos as far as i know the eu uk spec deac law hasnt been changed to allow old specs to be offered in the uk......any rechamber difference to a deac or obsolete weapon will be on its deac cert....i once had an old spec m1 garand which originally was .30 but was converted to .410 shotgun then deactivated ...on the deac cert its calibre was recorded as to what it was when deactivated...410 shotgun calibre.

Cheers CJ m8 , I suppose I was trying to navigate around the laws of the UK and the sometimes grey areas we , as collectors, find ourselves in. I was once offered a French revolver at an antiques fair...obsolete calibre m8...was it?....who knows...anyhow I hope my video cast some light on the subject, cheers m8

Fair enough I get you....I understand people don't want anything else licensing, I suppose it should just be a ban on anyone owning air guns /deacs if they have a crime record....its just I don't want them to ban anything else....it was just a video to explain everything else around live firearms and possible solutions. Thanks for commenting and watching , all the best to you m8🙂🙂😀

We have three wheelchair-using club members in our little [450-ish] club here in Northants. They all seem to enjoy themselves immensely. Our three outdoor ranges have been designed to be as accessible and easy to use as possible. With a wheelchair-user daughter I was able to advise on accessibility, not only to the firing points and lowered shooting benches, but also to the targets themselves - if required.

Thanks and nice to get a comment from someone with first hand experience. Anything 'gun' shaped seems to get people uptight here in Britain....they'd gladly visit a museum full of muskets, ww1 and ww2 rifles, but if a private collector has them!🤣🤣🤣 oddball time🤣. That's been my unfortunate experience with a lot of family mainly...ah well I'm happy with my collecting habit and long may it continue, all the very best to you 🙂🙃🙂

Stan. You need a Section 1 FAC to own a black powder firearm and a separate explosives licence to purchase and store black powder. You can buy more modern "smokeless" powders by showing your FAC, but black powder requires its own explosives licence. Black powder is a lot more volatile than smokeless powder in that it flashes off very quickly and aggressively when ignited, whereas more modern powders burn at a more controlled rate. At the end of the day, both are very volitile substances, but UK laws being what they are and all that...

Canadians have been living through eight years of the worst and most distructive government in Canada's history. I will address only one of examples here. The " Gun control " laws have changed drastically. licensed firearms owner's have had over 1500 types of rifles listed as prohibited. Supposedly to be eventually turned in for destruction. Most of these were legal for all Canadians with a valid "restricted" firearms license to shoot at a range. Many were not restricted and did not require only being fired at a range. In addition, they have declared all handguns are not to be purchased, loaned, handed down, given away, or sold. My AR15 is never to leave my house. I can shoot my handguns though. Most Canadians besides firearms owner's can't wait for the next election, which may still be a year away. The polls show that these #&*@^%$ assholes are going to lose, and the new government plans to get rid of all this stupidity. Our laws as it was before all this crap were still quite wierd. We can not have replica firearm. If a firearm looks like a real firearm, but are completely hollow, and were never capable of firing anything, they are banned, but if they look exactly like a real firearm and fire BB's, pellets, or airsoft pellets, they are okay to own without any licensing. A P38 is legal for me to own, but P08 is not. They are both able to basically do the same thing, but the Luger's barrel is a 1/4 inch too short. We do have the same laws regarding what we call antique status. no license required. Difference is the ammunition can't be readily available. Doesn't mean the ammunition can't still be bought. Thanks Stan for what I would say your video clearly shows no errors in UK firearms law. Might possibly broke the record on length of comment. Sue me!

Not really. We can reload and unless you are one of the favoured few at the midlands, you can't. We can shoot black powder firearms of all kinds - you can't - at all. We can shoot .50cal BMG - you can't. We have ONE FAC for all our guns - you have one for each, and ALL your airguns need an FAC. You even need an FAC to buy airgun pellets. It's rare to have more than five Section 1 firearms in the RoI - I have seven .22s for a start and go on from there...fellow club members here have thirty or forty, or even more. One shotgun certificate per gun for you. As many shotguns as we can afford - all on one certificate - for us.

Don't have a problem with the Scottish government licensing air powered weapons. Since the introduction of the law there has been a huge decrease in pets and children getting shot and wounded or killed. Don't have a problem with registering my deacts either. I do find it funny seeing grown British adults messing around with BB 'guns' and airsoft 'weapons'! What I find strange is that you can buy a £3000 MP40 deact no problem but you need to belong to a re-enactor club in order to buy a crappy Denix MP40 for £160! I suppose the logic is that 'trouble makers' in the inner city ghettoes of England won't be able to get their hands on a Denix repro, and they would never be able to afford a deact, so the streets of England are safe!

Cheers Al, great comment ....I reckon we are thinking along similar lines....its the half wits and idiots , as well as the criminal element that ruin things for law abiding people. I am overlooked by one neighbour who knows about my collection etc but when I take a deac into the shed for a video I cover it up so she cannot see it. Even though she knows what I'm 'about' to coin a phrase I'm not going to walk down the garden with a deactivated k98 over my shoulder...well not until im out if sight!!😅...thanks m8😊
