Get a Facet solid state pump and pressure regulator for Maude. Esther looks awesome 👌

Thanks for the advice mate! 👍 I did try that but even with the Malpassi regulator turned down to minimum fuel would leak from the breathers on the carbs. 👍

Hahaha, heating up the plugs to git er started……my mechanic brother had a Kawasaki H2 750 in the early 70s and when she wouldn’t start, he would take the plugs out and throw them in the fire 🔥, get the huge leather gloves to put the plug in the plug spanner and put them in the bike, started first kick every time lol 😝. Awesome video,Esther looks absolutely stunning 🤩 almost toooooo niiiiiiiiiiice. 😎👍👍👍🇬🇧

The Italian car in Gavin's shop is an Autobianchi A112, been following the repair on Gavin's channel, he's done an excellent job on Esther, I myself would keep the blue bootlid on

In hindsight, having Esther off the road did do me favours. I doubt I would have ended up re-painting Maude and doing her ST170 swap otherwise (because I just couldn't stop driving Esther! 😃)

That kind of fuel pump normally has a set of points in it I think. Did you clean them to see if that cure it. I had a pump that use to do that if I overheated.

Marcus get a S.U. fuel pump, they were fitted to old jags etc and replacements are ready available and they are also serviceable, they will easily supply enough fuel for your bike carbs ....👍

Thanks for the advice mate! 👍 I did try a Facet fuel pump and Malpassi regulator at first but even with the regulator turned down to minimum fuel would leak from the breathers on the carbs. Bike carbs need a very low fuel pressure. 👍

I would get a fuel pump from DANST as it’ll be the correct psi and also guaranteed for a year. I messed about with other pumps which also gave erratic pressure and ended up getting one from DANST and it solved all problems and runs sweet now.

Trouble is with using low pressure bike pumps is there not strong enough to pump fuel up hill , Bikes are gravity helped the pump just helps it on its way Al low pressure. On a car you have help from tank ,but then it has to push fuel all up line to carbs, overworking them and getting hot (worse when tanks empty) Solid stated pump and reg is only route 😉👍

As someone else already said junk that pump they are always problematic, fit a facet pump and pressure regulator they are 100x better and totally reliable too
