As with all your Black Metal updates John… it’s a real good education for me… but scary too… as it’s an eternal wormhole of discovery isn’t it, lol! ‘Afsky’ really do intrigue me I have to say! Great update as always sir!🤘🏻

Akhlys is one of the most evil and bone chilling bands out there. Love atmosphere they manage to create. And those vocals....... Afsky is another great band, not a lot of great Danish BM out there, but this guy knows how to craft great music. Cheers. 🤘🏻🤘🏻

Great minds think a like when it comes to showing the black stuff. I have most of these apart from the Agaloch stuff. That's a band I haven't dived into yet. Aara i only have the second one but I remember liking it so need to grab the other two. Great to see Afsky, love his work. Wasn't sure about the acoustic EP to grab it as it was pricey. You showing it now makes me think I should have it! Great video as always my friend

Great update John! I'm really glad you picked up those Agalloch reissues. Agalloch are/were a band that doesn't seem to be talked about a lot lately.

Agalloch is a favorite of mine. The Marrow of the Spirit reissue looks cool, I've never seen that. Just got Akhlys and it is as good as everyone says. Afsky is great, will be picking up their stuff eventually. Great pickups, John!

Nice video, John. Plenty of quality stuff on show here, all of which I'm aware of, but I haven't got round to listening to Afsky or Akhlys yet. I have a couple of Aara releases on vinyl, including the first Triade, but I haven't got parts 2 or 3 yet. I need to get hold of them ASAP. Cheers! 🤘

Some excellent pick-ups there. I've seen the actual painting from the cover art of 'Ofte Jeg Drømner Mig Død' in real life. It's as haunting and unsettling as you'd imagine.

Cool Black Metal pickups John! That's cool they all start with A too. I have to be honest, I'm not sure if the folky atmospheric stuff is for me, I just think it might be too soft and light for me. Agalloch I got recommended to listen to for my Black Metal starter pack, but I don't know if I'll like it. I was thinking about maybe trying out the first one, but I've been struggling to work out which one might be best for me to try. Cheers man 😊🤘

What's with all these black metal bands beginning with A? It's crazy how I'm finding so many that are practically the same name bar one letter 😂 but I must say that they are nearly all really good 😅. I wasn't too keen on The Mantle when I bought it but have since come to really like it. I have The White ep which is way too ambient for me. I ordered my first Afsky release last week but now I've told someone it probably won't arrive 😂. It's about time I sorted my collection out as I'm forgetting what I've got especially with these black metal bands 😆. Hope you enjoyed the gig mate and I'm expecting Bs next! 🍻🤘🏻

I find Akhlys nightmarish. It has a distinct wrongness to it, like a near death experience on your birthday.

Afsky is not black metal..
