I have such memorable ties to this song. I remember in the summer my parents would take me and my sister on an hour-long trip to the beach, and this song always came on the radio. Nostalgia at its finest.
No kidding dude-hope your friends get an autograph from Ed Roland-he's one of the most underrated lead singers ever! Have a safe and great time you lucky man!
It's about a woman who betrayed him and he still wants her. But he's still very, very angry at her "spit me out" Still wants her "tilt my sun towards your domain" Resents her "you cup over floweth again" Alot of anger.
thats kinda where the phrase ignorance is bliss comes from. If we had no idea about the robot technology or the way god works, It wouldn't come back to eventually destroy us all.
the 90's wasn't just a decade...every new day i spent in the 90's was always something new and awesome. This song played through my head frequently during that time...man, do i miss the 90's
iiceman14. Lithium is a great song. It's also a medicine that can help with mood swings. In too high doses it can cause kidney damage and other damages to the body.
Oh don't worry about solitare-I think if your not playing cards with real money it should be alright. My father inlaw thinks cards are evil and I'm intimadated by him because he was a minister.
12/15/07 Wolfie. Time to let go and say good-bye. We'll be together in an estimated 12 years from now. Maybe sooner, maybe later. When I've completed my circuit I'll be with you again.
Haha, i didn't see a single bad band that he mention. Even hole had was alright. But yes, there were way more than what he named. Probably why he had three dots instead of one. I'd like to see some Allanis Morisete, verve pipe, wallflowers, Live, I think live was 90's at least. Idk.. bring back the 90's. It's much better.
oasis, STP, pearl jam, nirvana, janes addiction, bush, collective soul, hootie, the verve, 3rd eye blind, alice & chains, sound garden, greenday, blur, REM, silverchair, smashing pumpkins, the cranberries, hole, garbage, radiohead, no doubt, rage against the machine, weezer... man, the 90's ruled...WTF happened, and why did the industry start shoving fake crap down everyones throats?
Collective Soul is still around but they completely changed their image and their sound. They look like models from Acrombie and Finch and their music is more Pop oriented. Its kind of depressing.
I adore the lead singer's hair. He's pretty good looking too! There is long hair and really GOOD long hair. He has really GOOD long hair... very Michael Wincott GSL
The 90s were supposedly a remedy to cure our selfish ways in the 80s but I suffered 2 divorces in the 90s so Diego, until you go through more than one relationship you'll never know and I turn 43 years young later in September 2008...Mikey
Okay people back to a DVD of CS videos for people like me, who can't go to concerts because of my disability. Medications I have to take, make standing for long periods impossible. And I can't be in the sun because of said medications. There are other barriers for me, such as financial. There are people with barriers and disabilities all over the country, Who have no transportation outside of their own county. Have a good time at the concert.
Someone asked what this song is about. It is about not being accepted for your beliefs, beliefs in God. Its Collective Souls way of saying they wouldn't be accepted if they came out as a openly christian band. If you listen to most of thier songs with this in mind, you will hear MANY religeous undertones. While some may hate them for this. Others, and I applaud them.
i would like to say, i find that a lot of people like myself used to listen to this band when they were young, tell you a lot about the band, for the fact when we were young those where the days of gold! collective soul for sure the closest thing to heaven in their songs i have ever heard
this song reminds me of my best friend who is gone now and his girl friend. they'd argue and she'd always say "you use me and spit me out." the song is incredible! i'll always love you tim. see you on the other side bro'.
