I don't think you should say that they aren't really grudge nirvana was all that collective soul started late with less of a heavy feel to it more cleaner sound
@@AnthonyHeadway the era from 1991 to 1999 is the grunge era. Grunge doesn't have 1 sound. Matchbox 20 started out with angst and kinda grungy but found their own sound by 3 albums released. I always say the BEST thing that came out of that era was googoodolls matchbox collective soul....my 3 fave "era" bands who outgrew the category indeed.🎈🎉
