Thought this would be an interesting video to do since nobody has done it before. Also, I would’ve put Arizona (1) vs Bucknell (8) from 2012 but I couldn’t find any footage of it... sorry about that.
If you won the regular season title in one of the one-bid conferences, you’ve automatically qualified for at least the NIT. What that means is that sometimes the actual best team from that conference is playing in the NIT. The ok major conference teams just might end up running into a very pissed off small conference squad with a massive chip on their shoulder. I can’t imagine facing South Dakota State and Matt Daum in this year’s NIT was too much fun.
I go to Robert Morris now. Can confirm that although everyone who was there in 2013 when it happened has graduated, we still talk about the time Kentucky came to little Bobby Mo and got beat! They actually cancelled classes the day of the game!
Don’t mind Kentucky or UNC in the NIT, but what on earth was Bill Rafferty doing commentating the NIT? Thank goodness he’s doing the NCAA Tournament now.
LeCryBaby James because whenever a team like Kentucky or unc doesn’t make the ncaa tournament they give up on there season and they don’t care about the nit
@@bbnpotato8092 that's B's. Nobody wants to lose if they really play basketball. They just weren't good enough to win that's why they were in the not in the first place
If Lipscomb wins tonight against Texas, it would be one of the greatest runs in NIT history. Went on the road and beat (4) Davidson, (1) UNC Greensboro, then (2) NC State. Then they beat (6) Wichita State. Add Texas to that list and it’s one of the great NIT runs ever.
What the hell. 32 teams make college b-ball tournament. Then to pacify all the teams who didn’t get in the create the NIT. Kinda pathetic. Why does college b-ball even have a regular season. Almost as pathetic as the nba
I was at that ASU game against JAX ST. JSU was more athletically talented and played with just enough organization too win. ASU fans felt how you would after stubbing your toe lol.
