What a lovely surprise...reminds me when "Father Chuck" and "Father O'Dowd" from Going My Way kept singing their alma mater song "...of East St. Louis High" loved seeing Bingle in that one!😄
Taking online courses this semester, which just started last week. This is such fun to listen to while working on schoolwork. Thank you for putting it together!
Oh, college... I would have finished it if it weren't for the pandemic. Having to work a job as well as teach myself while also coping with a disaster I had never seen the likes of before, it all made my interest in studying plummet as well as my GPA. Eventually I lost my scholarship and decided not to waste money on this thing that gave me no joy. And so, I made the decision to join the navy. Not a heroic decision by any means, but a better decision than staying where I am.
Times so innocent and fun! I'm so happy I can take an evening and go back in time. The house takes on a whole new personality! Thank you for such a wonderful gift!
I'm starting my first day of College this Wednesday (in the UK). I am absolutely nervous as well as excited. Thank you so much for uploading this. What a delight!
Jake, I was listening to Autumn III last night, when this popped up on my RU-vid feed. Another great mix. Great sister compilation to School's In. Also, it's just in time for football season. Thanks for including Hold That Tiger or Tiger Rag! Have a great school year kids!
My 11 year old neighbor's homework was a real eye opener. I had wondered if what I was hearing had been exaggerated. I can tell you it hasn't but as long as half of our nation is in denial I don't know what can be done.
@@michellevibonese5673 saw that home schooling is growing at exponential rates, I just wonder how long it will be before public school is made mandatory
@@friedrichwilhelmvonsteuben7952 - i suspect it will happen once school districts are impacted financially or when the filth in charge realizes their indoctrination efforts are being hindered.
Thank you Jake. During this time when tyrannical authoritarianism is taking control of the world your channel brings about a pleasant break from the madness.
I was SO excited to see this in my feed this morning; especially since it was so close to your schools days compilation. I’m so looking forward to the seasonal/holiday ones. If I may be so bold and suggest a theme or two?..... Would love to hear some geared towards the morning & starting the day (I do like the coffee one you recently did) as well music for the kitchen, to cook by. Heck, I’d even love one for household chores 😂 Just a thought.... I work full time in an office, so when I’m home & things need to get done, these really help. I’ve loved all that you have put up and listen to them often! I’m such an old soul. My parents were even born yet when these were played, but I just gravitate towards them. Thanks for all your work!
Ah, the days of college sheiks with their raccoon coats and their charleston dancing flapper shebas! Thank-you for this fantastic collection of musical treasures.
Love this! I start my first day of college next week! The pandemic has made things with school very difficult at times but i hope everyone who is in college will do well and I wish you all the best!❤️
The final track was poignant ! As if it was a reprise for the generation that came through the Great Depression after their college days of fun..and now had to go to war. Excellent thought put into your selections ,always.
Do you think you’d ever make a Spotify of all these song compilations so that we could listen there? I’d love to be able to listen to your autumn videos without having to have RU-vid open. Love your videos!!
Those raccoon coats would run around $5000 in todays dollars. I guess you really had to be rich to go to college then (at least if you wanted to go in style)
There is a famous RU-vidr who reviews mr in Korea. He also reviews the 1940s and 1970s mr. It'd be more like this if I set this song as the background. Can I know where I can get these songs regardless of copyright?
Oops, All 1920s. This is downright ancient, even for this channel. Did they actually have schools back then or were all the kids busy working on their family ranches?
