If your mom is a first-generation immigrant, all she could think of at that point were all her sacrifices to give you a better life in the US. It was all worth it. It was a reaffirmation that she made the right choice. Congratulations to you and your family!

As someone who never let herself dream about any Ivies until the fall of my senior year, this is one of the best and most accurate college decision reaction videos I've seen! Not letting yourself dream about Harvard and them only accepting 1 student every 2 years was how I felt about my school during my process. (1 person goes Ivy every year from my school. No multiple Ivy send offs ever.) Your family is so sweet and so supportive and I love that! So so proud of you and all your acceptances! You deserve and have worked for every one!

CONGRATS! As someone who also graduated from a large urban public HS, I never knew it was possible to get into a lot of these colleges. Almost everyone I know that got in/attended these schools went to private, charter, or specialized magnet high schools. You are blessed!

Your mom is so supportive. It caused me to get emotional seeing you and your beautiful family interact with each other. I wish more emphasis on school was instilled in me. Instead because I was not the best student I joined the military. Luckily now I can go to school with the GI bill! I got into the University of Oregon. I recently moved and hope to get into University of Washington next to get a bachelors in Architecture. You seem so calm and collected. I admire you and would like to be a little more like you so I have followed! This was a crazy long video and wow all the essays and fees to apply to all those colleges! You seem like such a cool person and frankly just so inspiring. Over a 4.5 gpa is crazy! You are really inspiring.
