My school had a “good bye, good buy” sale at the beginning and end of every year where students who were moving out of dorms could sell their stuff to the new freshman and because most things were only a year old they were usually in really good condition.
If no one ever does inspection and you aren't claustrophobic, you can move your mattress under the bed and hang a curtain so you have a little sleep box and use the top of the bed as counter and storage space. It can give you privacy from a roommate and really help if you really need a dark space to take a nap midday, especially if your roommate needs lights on to do homework. Not a hack for everyone but I really liked it and it gives you a much needed surface if you spend a lot of time in the room. I had storage bins and a whole makeshift kitchen area. Definitely more space efficient
Hey yall get the tension rod in your shower please. I actually slipped while bending over to grab my loofah and shattered my foot so like get a bath mat thing and don't bend over ✨
Oh the tension rod is a good idea! My dorm shower is weirdly shaped so none of those suction cup trays fit. I just put stuff on the floor or try to balance it on the edge of the folded up shower bench
