Ryan isn’t wrong, the game has issues. But it’s a really fun game. It reminds me of PS3 and PS2 Madden and NCAA games. They weren’t super realistic, they didn’t have the best blocking, and they weren’t as close to simulation as 2K football. But they were fun, fast, and fluid. But Ryan was breaking those games down back then too. He just wants the best possible game. He’s always made content like this, and I’m glad he has. Madden in recent years, basically for the entire PS4 generation, has been slow, sluggish, ugly, and dull. This is not like that. It does share some similar issues, but overall I’m having a good time playing. So yes, this game is actually pretty fun and I think it’s good overall. But the issues Ryan is pointing out ARE real issues. Let’s stop coming at each other’s throats for disagreeing and either enjoy the game, or help it improve by finding issues with it.
OH SO ITS NOT JUST ME?? I thought I was losing my mind flipping through camera settings, player lock on/off… nothing worked. Them being college players doesn’t justify angle perception being off - I have eyes, I should be able to run in a straight line

I don’t want to watch my qb hand it off 25-30 times a game to a cpu runningback I don’t control, the ea protecters keep telling me “use the more plays option” but we have to run the ball sometime, I just want to be able to skip the play like I was 10 years ago back in 2014. The academic, training, and leadership thing gets incredibly old and stale after your first player. I think both dynasty and road to glory is very underwhelming

"Ea sport fc" (the old fifa) sucks, The new F1 sucks (since Ea buyed Codemaster, the series has gone down) , Ufc 5 is nowhere near the level people expected (considering it's not a yearly release...) . At least Nba live is dead (rip to nba live 19, but you gotta sacrifici something to destroy these greedy bastards). 2k is good compared to Ea, just saying.... (hopefully Fifa will get an agreement with them and fught Ea on the Soccer/ Football title soon)

Im expect there to be issues. Its a freakin video game. Itll never be perfect. But im having a great deal of fun with it and thats what matters most. Ive never played a game that didnt have an issue you can pick apart.

People are already posting the insane amount of glitches to X and Insta, specifically that one that has plagued Madden for like the last SEVEN YEARS where after a handoff, the ball suddenly teleports 30 yards behind the play and everyone chases after it 😂 That tells you all you need to know about this shiii...people are just buying into the hype because of the drought in CFB games over the past decade. You can put all the presentation you want over it, but at the end of the day, at it's core it's just another version of current-day Madden. 2K needs to make a College Football game ASAP to compete, bc thank God EA doesn't have an exclusive license to this.

I ran into the stupidest thing ever where i won both the championship and Heisman in my sophomore year, had an absolutely amazing season. A QB 1 overall higher than me transfered to my school and now I'm QB3. Coach trust is the maximum and it makes no sense at all.... I've now spent the first 3 games of my Junior year riding the pine.
I won the Best Linebacker award and was MLB 1, I returned to the same team and I had to position battle for the MLB 1 spot. What kind of sense does that make🤣

I don’t understand why they added this whole wear and tear system, but then have no way in the game to actually manage it. I had a HB that it said was in danger of being severely injured. The only way I could take him out of the game was pushing him far down the depth chart. However, once I did that the game later wouldn’t let him come back into the game. Even though he wasn’t on the injured list, I put him back in the top slot and he just couldn’t be in the game. There needs to be some easy way to move players out of position if they are going to have that system.
The game has issues and Ryan isn’t wrong. The past four videos had only the EA madden drones that has NEVER played anything else outside of this. It doesn’t give me the same vibes as the ps2 madden and ncaa games which felt and played better to me as a whole. The whole nasty comments from shills gotta stop

Not enough people care about all the little things that make football, football.. bad blocking, pursuit, catching, passing, everything.. the engine is for FPS games.. EA is making bank and they ain't gonna change it until they stop making money on it..
My third game of the yr my CB took 2 picks to the house. Look at the national stats he has 0 picks and 0 TDs. After 3 weeks the whole country has 0 defensive TDS (I’ve personally thrown 3 I know I suck) and 0 safeties nationally and I’ve given up one and got one. It can’t even record what takes place. It’s sad.

So my opinion with it is, yes, it has assets from the same engine with updated looks and coding. Im worried about that for the future. But, are you expecting the A.I. coding in a video game to just never bug out and have terrible logic? I do see these plays happen sometimes, however i see them significantly less than i did playing madden, so it makes me feel its at least small improvements, whether thats enough for you is your own decision to make. But i dont expect the A.I in any game to be written perfectly to where they dont completely blow assignments (or pathways in non sports games). Expecting otherwise is setting yourself up for disappointment from the start.
The truth is there are positive and negatives, and there is nuance between Ryan's excessive hate and people on Twitter and Reddit who will defend it blindly.
It's clear as day this game is still super unpolished. The blocking, the clipping, etc. The fact that it's been that way for years is unacceptable. They couldn't care any less about the quality of the game as long as people continue to buy it.
Dude, as soon as I clicked on purchase game, I immediately regretted my decision. I had fun for like the first 2 hours, then I quickly realized it’s the same EA product year after year. We as consumers, need to have more discipline and simply not purchase any EA product.

If you play road to glory as a defensemen the opposing team won’t even be able to get a pass off or break the line of scrimmage. My first 3 games as CB I played Oklahoma, arksansas razorbacks and Florida gators and my defense didn’t let them score a single field goal let alone touch down. We averaged 15 sacks a game with 5 minute quarters and they might of gotten positive yards on 3 or 4 downs a game running the ball. All without my player even being involved in any play till the 3rd game. It was so stupid that I almost quit playing entirely until I got a pick 6 that I caught in their end zone. It’s unplayable when your defenses AI is unrealistically dominant and the other team can’t even score

You used to be able to edit recruiting classes and the ai players to your friends or family’s names or your own names and customize them, now you can’t. Yea I’ve played my the 10 hour trial in a dynasty game and compared the ncaa 14 revamped gameplay and ncaa 14 blocking clears 25 at the moment 14 is not perfect but it is a really good foundational football game

Yeah I hate that you can’t watch the plays. Even on RTG. I like watching the plays because then I don’t feel like I’m being cheesed on field goals or the CPU always scoring against my defense in the last 10 seconds. I get it can happen but it happens so frequently when you can’t spectate.

I've got probably 10+ hrs in this game now. Some things I noticed which I think could be better. - Should be able to upgrade stadiums as a school grows and becomes more successful. - Old NCAA use to have a trophy case where you could see all the previous bowls and stuff you had won. - Music gets annoying real fast. Its the same drumline song on repeat - In game stadium effects are repetitive - Commentary is okay but needs more variety Overall considering this game technically had a 11yr period to be worked on. I expected it to be more feature rich. But it really sort of feels like a reskin of Madden with a recruiting system. With that said, I still enjoy the game its an "okay" game and fun to play in small doses.
I truly believe these devs did the best they could with the constraint that is the Frostbite engine. Time for EA to break free from that engine and let these guys loose to see what they can really do.

I remember playing an ESPN football game a really long time ago. Those games were better than Madden and them games used to be 20 bucks. EA needs some damn competition they have the exclusive license but arent doing anything with it. I played NBA2k24 this passed year and it was amazing. 2K knows how to make sports games. I dont understand people who get angry and leave a nasty message because they like a game that you dont. If i dont like something I am watching i just dont watch...lol. Youre on point though man. I played every NCAA since a kid and even played real college ball as well.. As a customer & frequent player of the NCAA series I must say that college football 25 is a huge disappointment. I’ve read a lot of comments of people defending this game (as they have a right too) vs the people who are fed up with lack of effort from EA. I will first like to highlight that this game is made by professionals… but with that being said every game will have its bugs, crashes ect. This game is broken in many aspects & customers are relying/wishing on patches to fix things that should’ve been available at the release. It’s way too many bugs for it to be considered a complete product. For every good pro, I realized, that was a stronger con on the same subject that outweighed it. Pros: Gameplay - The gameplay for college football 25 is actually fun. It has a free feel and they nailed it on the gameplay aspect. Authentic Team Entrances - EA really took their time to differentiate each team and their atmosphere. Gear - There is a lot of gear for the players. Although people wanted to see a little more (one leg sleeves, mask, ect) they got some icey gear on the game. Recruiting - Although recruiting has its bugs, it’s cool that you can have different approaches to the recruiting game. cons: Dynasty Mode: Dynasty’s is a complete joke. As someone who’s played dynasty for over a decade. This mode is about as bland as it can get. absolutely no customization. as far as coach apparel, player numbers(which is important) How can you change the name but not the #? of FAKE generated players (& No this has nothing to do w NIL) The team ranking system is horrible. You can’t apply XP points to your players. I had Freshman RB win “Rb of the year” with 2000 all purpose yards ,35TDs. he went up 1 point OVR the next year and stayed a normal dev. lmao & to top it off he never got the star for impact player. The heisman system is bugged out. It’s missing a lot of things. & oddly it just resembles the madden franchise mode too much. How is there a week 0 preseason in college football? lol.. Atp what was the purpose of playing dynasty. No custom playbooks as well…. Presentation: The presentation is repetitive. you see the same cut scenes. the same replays. no no halftime show. no gameday predictions. no pre game warm ups. in dynasty there’s no anything as far as the menu goes, it’s extremely boring. You just play and sim. Players being wearing the wrong jersey in scenes. I felt like they could’ve put in a ton detail in the game. & again that has nothing to do with EA licensing. They could use different type of avenues to just show that pre game, in game , post game feeling that college football has. Commentary is 65% wrong. Gameplay: The angles taken by defensive players are extremely odd. the blocking is flawed. cornerbacks just stand there oddly. the game seems like it’s more in EAs hands than your own. RTG: No comment. lmao. Ultimate team: I honestly don’t play so I wouldn’t know. Online VS play: is pretty cool ngl I give this game 5/10 because I feel like we just got a play now & online VS game, for $100. No game modes have depth. Gameplay is a bright spot. But as customer & fan/player of football. EAs game growing up had way more things you were able to do. Back then people made wishlist because they wanted to take the game over the top. Now people complain because they’re tired of asking for things and getting the complete opposite. customization is the only thing that will stop complaints imo. people get to choose their game.
Earlier today, I saw Eric Rayweather post a video on all teams stadium entrances, and they were all generic af. Even when the matchup is a huge rivalry game like OSU-MICH. Basically the same few phrases were used in every team entrance. Ffs they can't even be bothered to make Rivalry Games have special intros when they did in NCAA 13 (the last one I played)
EA would literally have to create a whole new development team to start from scratch to create a football game 5-10 years out for them correct the issue…they have to annually release games per the deal with the NFL just like NBA 2k does these developers don’t have time to create a whole new game that’s why the same issues pop up year after year

Been following Ryan for years now and EA has been as consistent as Ryan has honestly. I appreciate the blunt honesty. For those who love the game of football and what it offers in its natural state, EA is close to replicating real life to a certain degree, but continue to hold their games back. I’ve religiously bought every madden since madden ‘09. Started playing madden in ‘07. I just love football and can acknowledge that tossing money at EA doesn’t do enough. So far, CFB25 is decent to me. It’s the nostalgia that gets me and I’m just glad to have the franchise back. Once they stopped making NCAA games, the decline of football games was clear as day. Hopefully the upcoming patches don’t trend in madden’s post release updates. Ryan, keep doing your thing. Someone has to keep the conversation going. Obviously you have supporters and haters but with anything, it takes consistency. Stay safe everyone✊🏾🇺🇸

@@HighAltitudeMMA theres a bug that gives you like 127 skill points which is enough to get you from a 60 overall to a 99 in like the first couple of weeks into the season. less positions to play, no highschool, no cutscenes just barebones menus and presentation very similar to madden. you get subbed out nonstop even if you are the starter in a clutch situation. cant skip into when a match starts. on the field music not separated enough and sounds get annoying real fast. no menu music other than drums. its fucked dude seriously. mini games are more fun than RTG because at least there is some resemblance of music

I’m not gonna lie your right the game is broken but I’m still going to play it. I have to adjust the sliders drastically and put it on varsity just to get stops. I mean at first I thought it was me being bad bud I went from heisman to all American and finally varsity and there was literally no difference till I tweaked sliders. This game is the cpu can do no wrong and the user can’t do anything right.
I’m glad the game exists again. But I am so happy that I waited for the free trial. This game is not worth the $70 price tag. I’m seeing the same issues that Madden has always had. I’m seeing corners cut. I am still seeing laziness. I’ll gladly wait for the game on game pass.
It’s not worth $70. Nowhere near. I’ve been on road to glory majority of my time and it’s a lot of things not making sense. I’m a starter but miss SO much playing time it’s not even funny, getting subbed for no reason. 85% of plays feel designed to have me not involved (my cb rtg specifically) EVERYTHING is to the opposite side of the field. Any time I feel like I’m starting to make a difference I get subbed out and the opponent scores. This game wants you so uninvolved in making plays in rtg it’s sad. Don’t get me started on my rb rtg experience. Game is shit

He's absolutely rage bating for clicks. On the flip side, literally what has EA done in the last 20 years that would make you think they'll improve on this next year? Their games don't consistently get better, they just change. Offense will be op, then defense, then passing, then DBs. They just tweak shit and put out a "new" game, it's not consistently positive changes (and overall, the trend is downwards since the 2000s).

There are like 3 or 4 animations for wrap-up tackles. The rest of the time, in a group tackle situation, they just run into people with their arms flopping around at their sides lol. EA really is the lord god almighty of cheesing a football sim. It's been many years of football gaming sadness.

Ngl the last couple maddens I’ve played 4-5 games and stopped because it was 💩. Made horrible. Wonky outcomes. Etc. I’ve played 5-6 games of CFB and it’s just the opposite. Can’t get enough. This game was made VERY well and I see ZERO wonkiness. Have I lost a few? Of course. But I knew it was on me EVERY time. In Madden it was on the game. In CFB it’s on me. Is CFB perfect? Of course not. Is it LEAGUES beyond Madden? Yes! I’ve loved every bit of my experience so far. Are you a hater? Yes. Do you care? No. Talking about being honest; should people listen to you anymore? No. They can get more accurate feedback from others
A lot of these guys in the comments wife or girlfriend is cheating on them and they know it but as Ryan pointed out the just happy to have something. If they don't respect themselves then the won't respect there time or money spent. No backbone to comfort
