The 5 highest ranked conference champions automatically make the playoffs, with the top 4 receiving first round buys. After you select the 5 conference champions, the 7 highest ranked remaining teams then get into the field. Assuming FAU wins the conference championship in this, I’d assume they’d make the playoffs because I don’t think there would be 5 conference champions ranked higher.
