The best players in college football from the 1980 season get their due in another cinematic gem plucked from the archives of history. Narrated by Al Meltzer. A Tel Ra Production.
RIP Jerry Claiborne, who led Maryland to 3 consecutive ACC championships between 1974 to 1976 and at the time in 1976, guided the Terps to a 10-win season for the first time since 1951 and a trip to the Cotton Bowl
Super appreciative of these Kodak All American films finally being uploaded online. I recorded the 1986 video as a teenager and watched it so much I damn near have the script memorized. Great to relive the memories w/ so many legends of the game. Thank You Joe Tolstoy!!!
Sounds like we're about the same age. If you're like me, watching these films seems like a feel-good time machine trip back to the glorious days of our youth. I love watching them and it's great to see that others do as well. Enjoy!
Which part, the 4000+ passing yards or the 47 TD passes? Pretty sure McMahon is the only QB drafted in 1980’s to actually win a Super Bowl in that decade.
Thanks for watching and thanks for the suggestion. I do have the 1981 All-America film and it's one of my favorites. Somehow it has slipped through the cracks as far as me posting it. I will do so soon.
