Thomas Hatfield so the wardrobe, the bed, the drawers, and my "homework" desk are provided by the residence hall. Everything else (futon, TV stand, computer desk, etc.) I brought from home! I made sure Everything was compact and packable to make for easy traveling 😁👍🏽

You can buy one of those DIY furnitures , where you separate parts and u can join them anywhere....

Of course! A student advisor (SA) and resident advisor (RA) are basically the same thing, but an SA is what Truman calls them. So an SA is a Truman student that is hired by the university to live in the residence hall and be a part of hall leadership. They are assigned a certain floor in the building, and they essentially are there to help new residents become acclimated to the university and help current residents with any sort of problems they may have. Being an SA is pretty intense, but it does come with some awesome perks (like having your own room and getting 75% off room and board). It's definitely not for those who are only wanting to be an SA for the perks. You have to be really committed to helping others.

At a lot of colleges and universities, you have the option to pick your own roommates! At my school specifically, before you move in, you are asked to create a "roommate profile," where you fill out a page describing who you are and how you live. Based on that profile and the profiles of other potential roommates, you are able to pick someone you'd like to live with. If don't pick out a roommate and you have selected to live in a double room, then you will have a roommate randomly selected for you. But if you would rather not have a roommate, you can choose to live in a single room :)

Great question! I had recently gotten back to my room from a class before I filmed this video, and I also had a class right after I filmed this video. Most people keep their shoes on in their rooms just because we're always going in and out of our rooms either to go to class or to go get food. I usually take my shoes off once I know I'm settling down for the night :)
