North Carolina faced a real challenge from College of Charleston, but the No.1 Tar Heels ultimately prevailed, pulling away to a win-and Smith Center biscuits, 102-86. Carolina trailed by 7 at the half, allowing the Cougars to jump to a 50-43 lead, but fought hard and pulled away in the second half. In a twist, Leaky Black carried the Tar Heel offense in the first half, and finished with 15 points on a perfect 6-6 shooting night. Caleb Love finished with 25 points, Armando Bacot had 28, and RJ Davis had 11.
