This is so messed up for the students they should just be accepted into neighboring schools or colleges of their choice credits accepted. And the poor employees as well I don’t understand why things like this always occur during the holidays etc.
@@paulabelliard8746where did you hear that most schools will automatically accept us? Schools that make a teachout agreement with saint rose have to accept students in good standing, but my program is only expected to have 1 or 2 teachout partners. I haven’t heard anything about schools automatically accepting saint rose transfers. If you transfer, they don’t have to accept all your credits or put them towards your degree (only teachout schools have to do that). Not trying to be rude, but people should be realistic as they weigh their options.
This is seriously a shame. St Rose produced quality graduates. My current CFO is a St Rose graduate. My friend’s father and uncle - both millionaires - are graduates of St Rose’s business school as well. I would have applied for my MBA if this didn’t happen. So disappointing
This will be the fate of many other small colleges like St. Rose. A smaller group of potential students, more of whom are opting to pursue apprenticeships, trade/technical schools, or just enter the workforce. Many don't see the value of an expensive college tuition that would put many of them in perpetual debt. This is a backlash against the rising cost of attending colleges and universities.
