@@Ienjoyhockeywell sports often distract students from pursuing a real career or trade, often underprivileged students of color and only 1% actually succeed. If they are lucky they are traded like slaves in a large televised auction to a new city that they must relocate their whole family to just to be traded again. Therefore sports are like a lottery ticket waved in front of poor black kids that represents a false promise of success. On top of that those that are successful often get their money mismanaged because they were never taught how to and all while they endure physical pain for the entertainment of others to the point that things like a prescription drug addiction or CTE causing them to become extremely violent and incapable of complex problem solving and decision making. So even the small fraction of players that do succeed end up broke, in jail, on drugs, uneducated and rejected by the machine that is the sports industry.
@mood1676 you're right I should enslave myself to corporate higher ups and pay "taxes" on the never-ending debt ceiling in this country. Freedom is an illusion.
