I am a Ukrainian living in California and I APPRECIATE YOUR COURAGE TO BE AGAINST THE RUSSIAN INVASION AND OCCUPATION OF UKRAINE VERY VERY MUCH. I wish more Russians could have that courage and common sense. You give a tiny hope in Russians. Good luck to you!
There are a lot of us Russians who are against this awful occupation. But, unfortunately, we are out of Russia. Those ones who are actively against the regime and in Russia are already put to prison for many years. It's almost impossible to fight against the regime. See, Zack, Natasha, Roman - all of them had to leave if they wanted to stay alive. By the way, my family and friends in St-Petersburg are also against the war and none of them ever voted for Putin, yet he always gets "elected". When the war started my friend in St-Petersburg shared a time and place of a protest on her social media. The following day, she had people from police knocking on her door. She was warned off that it's not only her who might pay for this but her family too. People are just scared.
Congratulations on making it to the U.S., Zach. America is stronger because of the contributions of immigrants who come here from every part of the globe, and especially from those who have witnessed tyranny firsthand. This retired broadcast journalist welcomes you and wishes you well. Please look me up if you find yourself in New York for a period longer than necessary to switch planes. Best, Charlie Kaye.
@ckaye That romantic attitude means nothing for the daily day to day life of immigrants toiling under a rigged system with no state or federal protections against parasitic labour practices among many other things. This is not to mention the concentration camps on the US-Mexico Border where families are separated like slaves and children are molested daily. Historically as well as presently, immigrants where always used as cheap labour and nothing more, we cannot use an outlier in the judgement of an average(successful immigrant). I live in NYC as well, and I can certify this man speaks a bunch of gibberish! Come outside your den and look upon the real state of things.
It's so good to hear that, for a change. I agree 100%. Immigrants bring an even greater American spirit than a lot of Americans. And they often get on the score broad, giving America that edge. And all our pay checks benefit.
@@chrisconny2285 Oh yes. In fact I will always be loyal to his channel after he saved us by translating live the February 20th "speech" by Putin this year, even as he was noticeable sick. That was a true feat.
Welcome to America, Zack! Work and study hard, volunteer to gain experience and gather good, relevat references for your resume, you will do great! ❤🇺🇸🎉
WOW. This makes my day. Because some of the ex-Soviet states are starting to make things difficult for Russians. I was starting to worry. This is great.
Fantastic Zack!! CONGRATULATIONS! YOU MADE IT HERE IN THE USA! I hope you have wonderful experiences here in the USA! The USA should be proud to have Zack The Russian here! I raise my glass in a toast to your success in the U.S!
I am very happy for you brave young boy! Never stop fighting for democracy, transparency, justice and freedom! God speed, hope you achieve everything you are dreaming.
Welcome home, Zack! I'm happy for you. Sad for all your friends and peers being conscripted in Russia and for everyone in Ukraine who continue to suffer. But hopefully you can find some peace here and continue to fight the good fight online.
I don’t find it surprising that an embassy worker would know a lot about international media and politics. People involved in the diplomatic services tend to go into that line of work because they find that stuff interesting. It’s useful in that job to be up to date with as much of the world as possible. So happy you are moving on with your life.
I also forgot to mention, the officer spoken Russian language. Not to me but to others as I have heard. So, I think she used to work in Moscow until 2021 as a visa officer but after the embassy in Moscow was closed, the workers were sent to other places like Serbia, Kazakhstan, etc
Congratulations.. on reaching your goal to study in the USA. Indeed... A free Russia some day would mean a free Ukraine... And end to the wars.. and a better future for all.. Some day may it be that way..
Well this is unexpected... Funny to be scrolling through comments here and see somebody else that I know from RU-vid. It would be great to see Zack in Vegas interviewed by you! Indeed, congrats to Zack!!!!
Thanks to the US consul in Serbia who approved your visa. Our embassy has a system to recognize people such as yourself and I'm glad the system worked.
I'm watching his video now and got to part 10:24, where the person at consul ask what he want to do. Mentioned that site, part of filter how zach respond :)
Welcome Zack to the US. Yes, people here wave and open doors for you and say hi. It might be a culture shock for you in the beginning, but you will fit right in. You have a great personality! Good luck with your studies and have fun! You picked a great place to live for a while. Best of luck to you, Zack!
Being only 21, you knew only a sociopathic Putin regime, but grew up with your humanity intact. Sad that young people with a conscious had to leave your country. But we are lucky to have you. 💓
My Goodness, Zack, what excellent, fantastic news! I'm so happy for you, from the bottom of my heart! You're such a marvelous, brave, and kind-hearted young man, you deserve all the luck and best of this world. Congratulations to you for having made it to the U.S. and thanks to Americans for having welcomed such a precious person. You can be proud of yourself, and it's an honor and pleasure to have met you. All my very best! P.S. YOU MADE IT, DUDE, WOOHOO! 🥳
Welcome to USA! So glad and relieved to know that you made it. Rest, breathe, eat and sleep. It'll take you some time to adjust but I hope you will like where you are. Keep us updated and let us know if you're travelling within the US. I'm sure many of your American subscribers would love to meet you and buy you lunch or dinner. Anyway, until your next video, take care!
Hi Zack, I’ve been following you since I first saw Niki Proshin interview you in Tbilisi. When I saw that you’d made it back to the U.S. for school, and your incredible journey to make it happen, kudos to you and your determination. I am so very happy for you! The U.S. is a better place with you here, well done and congratulations!
I don't like Niki. He has never publicly disagreed with the war and is against reparations (Russia paying to rebuild Ukraine). Be careful which Russians you are supporting.
Aww Zack... I've got tears of joy!! Can't believe you made it to USA!! Wow I'm so happy for you! You are an amazing young man and an inspiration to all young people! You do deserve this Zack.. Much love from London 🇬🇧 🇺🇸 ❤
Well, quite a journey Zach. Glad you are finally here! Couple of comments: You were a great ambassador for wh as t Russia could become helping the older woman from Ukraine navigate her journey. Well done! Americans love ice cream & ice in their drinks. And your ride situation has a potential solution by looking for "ride sharing". People often share rides - someone who has a car looks for riders to share gas expenses so put up a note at the school on the message board (physical or digital) saying you are looking for a ride share from where you are staying and back again once you know what your schedule is. Also people sometimes share uber to reduce costs. I'm very proud of you. You've done so good standing for your principles and your convictions. You are moving forward now. Don't forget to enjoy the journey. By the way, when going into urban areas for the first time, check online for crime maps for the city by zip code and you might avoid finding yourself in bad neighborhoods. Good luck. You're in our thoughts and prayers. ❤🙏❤
Happy and excited for you. Now, you will be able to enjoy being in college and having the life of 21 year old. Dari just posted on Sun that she is coming to NYC. And I was literally checking your channel for any college updates from you. And saw the best news ever. Don't forget to use sunscreen. ☀️🌞☀️
Congrats Zack! You're amazing -- you're resourcefulness, ability to surmount all the obstacles in front of you., and your positive mind have resulted in you achieving your objectives, and relatively quickly too. If you've shown such qualities at 21, then it's clear you will achieve much, much more soon enough. Opportunities await someone like you who is effectively bilingual in English and Russian, has confidence, charm and personality. So glad that I can watch such an uplifting story today. All the best and take care!
Hey! You made it! This is such a great vid. I donated to your gofundme and was slightly startled to see my name on the scrolling feed bit of this video, but kinda proud too! Best love to your lovely aunt and I hope you have the best time in the US. ❤
So happy to see you again and have you here. That american serbian woman was obviously a right wing person here in US. I love your kindness to the Ukrainian woman on the plane. The crowds will leave Myrtle Beach area soon after schools begin up north. Welcome and I hope your studies go as you expect. Please wear sunscreen so you don't get sunburned. Start a fund for an electric bike until you can get a drivers license.
Welcome to the United States! I live in Fairbanks, and if you ever want to travel up this way, I would be happy to share this wonderful corner of the USA with you!
You love in Fairbanks Alaska? I have lived in Anchorage for years. I love it here but soon may be moving to Maryland. I love the dry cold weather here n not sure about high humidity n high temperatures in Maryland.Slava Ukraine from a true AMERICAN
@@susancrouthamel760 I spent a summer in DC and the humidity was unbearable, and that was before climate change. I would suggest taking a summer trip for a few weeks before committing to a move that different!
Zack, you seem much happier now, must be the best move you have made. Please keep us updated with your new life, you've got a lot of followers here. Take care!!
You have been through so much in the last year and a half. You have accomplished the first step on the journey to the American dream. Best wishes to you.
Hey Zach, hello from California, what great news and I’m so glad and surprised you made it here so quickly. For a young man, you have been through so much since the beginning of this war. Enjoy your new home, and I wish nothing but the best for you✌🏻🫶🏻🇺🇸🇺🇦
Congratulations! I'm glad you've been given the opportunity you wee looking for. Now make the most of it and don't stop your RU-vid channel! You need to keep people informed of your progress and also to help the other antiwar RU-vidrs from Russia who are trying to find a place to go!
Aw man that's a really great update! Just outstanding to see something genuinely positive come out of this whole mess for you. Really lifted me up hearing and seeing how optimistic your outlook has become. Congratulations for finally exiting limbo and welcome to the beginning of the rest of your life - live your best one man, you're gonna smash it!
Congratulations on making it over to the U.S. to attend college. You have had quite the journey from the far east of Russia to the far east of the U.S. I am impressed with your journey and commitment, I know you will succeed because of your commitment.
Well, miracles do happen. I know there's lots of people who prayed for your succesful admittance to college and to the US. I know you'll make the best of it. I'm excited to hear about your new adventures in this country as you discover both its good and bad things. Keep us posted.
Welcome and congrats! Be careful discussing politics with Americans. Best of luck and hope to hear more about your ongoing educational and life journeys.
Man to man - but with us both being at opposing ends of our adult and working life, this makes me very sad Zac that your ‘time’ is consumed with fighting to survive and having the constant dark clouds of inhumanity hanging over your head. It’s such a contrast you just painted. Perhaps your most prophetic video yet, just by virtue of you a young Russian standing up to PutIn and for Ukraine with all your struggles - on a glistening ‘free’ American beach in summer. These are moments which will shape your life forever and I am glad that your conscience and ❤️are never far away from the ongoing struggles of Ukrainians to survive. I have spent the last 3 months living in London and travelling to 15 European countries and cities and especially in the Baltics the bravery and love to Ukraine is immeasurable. Atop of one of Vilnius’s skyscrapers is a huge banner for the world to see which says PutIn we will see you in The Hague. And on all the busses are electronic signs with Vilnius ❤ Ukraine. So as you land in freedom I head back to mine in Oz via Doha where today is 47c. Remember you always have a friend in me who champions your right to be an independent free thinking Russian who supports Ukraine. Blessings and best wishes bud 🤗🇦🇺🐨
Welcome to America Zach. Beware, my country is going through some craziness. The Marjory T Greene’s of this country side with Putin and spew propaganda about our current President. Keep your heart and your head above the BS. Best of luck in your new endeavors! 💙💙💙💙
It just goes to show that people especially politicians are free to do that in the US. If M.T Greene was doing what she does here but the reverse in Russia, she would have to avoid windows and tea drinking.
I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!! 😅❤🎉🇺🇸🤩 Whew! What a relief! Enjoy myrte beach! It's not a bad place to spend a few years and I am sure you will ace your studies. Thank you for having integrity and for all your reporting - I look forward to seeing you vlog from your college. God bless you and your Aunt. This has made my day!
Congratulations on making the long trip to the USA!! I am so happy for you. I smiled the whole time watching this video because I am so proud of you. I know you will be busy with school, but I hope you continue to make videos on your channel. There is so much love and support for you in the comments. ❤❤❤❤
Nice surprise for me this morning to see you in USA ... so pleased for you Zack... and wishing you all the best for your new college course... you will smash it I am sure :) Please keep us updated :)
