I appreciate that you left that part in and it’s an important lesson for your younger viewer as well. I do think you dad was right about you not being ready to be on your own, but I do think what you’re doing in college is the right thing. Yeah you might not be ready to be completely moved out of your parents house, but you weren’t gonna get ready by being there full time so I think being kinda on your own in college is good for you. You’re not a disappointment, you are just learning.

I love that you decided to show this side of yourself. It’s so relatable. No one has it all figured out at 18. You did what you were supposed to do. You asked for help. And by asking your dad was able to help you and the situation didn’t get any worse. College is a big adjustment. You are doing fine. And you are surrounded by friends which always helps.

And he helped you on top of that. Gotta ❤️ good dads. They always find a way to come through for their girls. It’s okay. With life situations taking a breath,staying calm and doing your part to smooth it out is the only way to push through.

I had the "you need to be more responsible and show us that you can be the responsible adult" talk with my parents, they have been mad at me too and I have also felt like I have disappointed them before and I don't like disappointing them either but we do make mistakes, we grow and learn from them. Adulating is hard but growing up and learning is all part of life. Thank you very much for not cutting the "difficult stuff" out.. Remember, we all go through this stuff at some point in our lives and we've all had the harsh adult talk at some point in our lives as well. I am an older sibling and I can relate. You are amazing and I am extremely proud of you 🌻

Awww Lexi. We have all been there with that ticket mess, when you get your first ticket it’s a wake up call. I didn’t get my first ticket until my mid 20’s . In the future make sure you go or at the very least call before the court date and just pay it and do whatever they tell you to avoid it being on your record. Sometimes you have to wait 90 days so it’ll be cleaned off your record. I love your dad tho, he’s telling you right! Listen. Cause parents want you to do better and be better than they were, they made the mistakes so you don’t have to but it’s life and ish happens lol.but I think your dad said not to drive just in case you got pulled over or in an accident. They can tow your car as well if your license not up to par as a result of the ticket, and you could’ve potentially gone to jail if their system isn’t updated showing your ticket was paid.

I'm glad you left the footage about missing your court date in your vlog because this is a life lesson to other young students. Sometimes parents can't always fix it ... Also being late to class at college (not directed at you) even by 5 minutes may seem insignificant now ... but some professors will drop you a whole grade at the end of the semester for 2 absences. 5 minutes late COULD be an absence for some professors. They don't care what the excuse is. Think about cost in the long run. If you have to retake a class it's not just paying for a class. Accommodation, food ... literally paying for an added semester. It's hard to be first time away from home and having to be responsible for so many things, but you can do this! 4 years from now when you are a senior and ready to graduate, you will look back on this (and I'm sure many other lessons) and think it wasn't so bad!!! OK stepping off my parent pedestal ... Take care ... you got this Lexi! ⭐️

This video is so relatable. I feel like people just expect you to know what you're doing at 18 but that's not reality. It's like you're doing your best but people don't realize that you have no idea what you're doing so you kind of just wing it. You learn from experience and so I don't think it's fair when society expects you to know how to handle everything without having that real-life experience. Trust me, you're handling it 10x better than I am. So know that you aren't the only one struggling to keep up. Just keep praying about it and trust that God will help you carry the things that are too heavy for you to hold.

Hi Lexi this message is not to make you feel good or bad but just to make you understand that life happens. First of all I am so proud of you being so honest and transparent in this vlog. Please don't be indifferent with your father because he is just being the parent that he needs to be. Yes he did do the same thing but we as parents try to teach our children through our past experiences what to do so that you don't have to go through it. Trust me we have all been there so don't beat yourself up. Take a deep breath, keep breathing and try to make the best choices you can with the help of your parents. There will be a time when they may not be able to help so just chalk this one up as a lessen learned. You are doing great ❤
