As a former teacher, our entire American educational system pre-school to higher education system has been lost to liberal ideology decades ago. I am an old woman now. I saw this first hand. This anti-semitism is one of the fruits of many of this egregious campaign.

Agreed, my colleague are pitiful, are full of themselves. I have seen them in action and they know how to screw students over and not get caught. The only positive thing that happened during the pan u know what, was they had to use zoom which they absolutely h 8ted because the parents could see what they were doing in class.

A large donor in millions to Columbia has withdrawn his support. It's happened at Harvard, Stanford, etc. You withdraw funding and don't hire any of the university's graduates. Meantime, there's always a career at Taco Bell for these "students".

I graduated with honors because I would do my reports exactly as I was prompted and parroting the positions of my Professors. I am guilty of not pushing back. I just wanted to get out with my degree and I wasn't there to learn. My capstone was the only paper I pushed back on and I got a B-.

@saragibbons I graduated in '96 with my BA and loved it. The Professors wouldn't tell you what to think when students begged them. Just a few years later, going for my Masters it was completely different, and I quit. I couldn't stand them teaching theory as fact. I think I got lucky getting my BA bc I don't think I could take it now.

As a retired professor, inclusion has so dumbed-down graduate programs in areas outside the sciences, the quantitative, data/research-driven disciplines where truth is still sought. We have promoted those who have no idea what truth really is; rateher, they spout nonsense, “subjective truth,’ as truth is what you want it to be. I was going back for a Masters and was in shock because they were teaching theory as fact and it was so different than what I was used to. I got lucky to have graduated with my Bachelors when I did bc those professors wouldn't teach you what to think even when students wanted them too but just a few years later at a different school it was teaching theory as fact and I left. They taught nothing.

the attitude of the community and supporters has been one of total defunding, i.e. inclusive of the staff and student groups which stand against ths, long with most social support telling them to walk away. That has been the problem for decades. Most of the people replying to this are also screaming it. It's funny how many people blame Jewish students for not fighting back when they have. Despite the massacre, none of this is new... not from the response from the jewish community, the public at large nor to student/staff on campuses or in the broader sphere.

If they teach diversity, equity, and inclusion, then they also need to realize the hypocrisy of not allowing absolutely everything and everyone who disagrees, contradicts, and doesn't like you, or else it is hypocrisy. Their "inclusion" is very selective, and therefore, it is exclusive. Why teach something that you cannot follow yourself? Why would anyone want to follow someone who cannot do it themselves?

Tenure is a problem and lack of transparency in the classroom is as well. I witnessed a complete 180 with these radicals when we had to Zoom all classes during the ‘social distancing’ days. I’m thinking all lectures should be televised.

@@elainekilgore1352 Totally agree 👍. I attended a state university and didn’t expect the level of classroom bullying and intimidation that I saw. I was accepted to USC, but decided against it because I felt it wouldn’t be a good fit so I decided on the what I thought was a conservative school in a conservative state. Boy was I wrong. I think Governors and/or State Legislators should establish some type of monitoring mechanism that will allow students to anonymously report the abuses by their leftist professors. There’s no real oversight of public institutions…the University administrators allow this stuff while the Taxpayers foot half the bill for our kids to be bullied into silence.

My son is very good at what he does, excellent skills, he recently graduated and he showed me how he was FORCED to write essays, reports, etc where he has to openly write things against straight white male people, etc. The first time he was asked to write about people, women's oppression, minority oppression, etc he wrote an objective essay he was strongly reprimended and given a no pass score, next one he wrote a violent paper against straight men, and he got an excellent score.

In grad school, we were given a whole hierarchy sheet of oppressor and oppressed identities (based on Robin DeAngelos white fragility book). All the people in the oppressor identity category had to grovel and apologize for being racists. All the people in the oppressed identity categories would give their absolution. I saw a white man father of 4 in my grad class ask for forgiveness for being inherently racist. It was truly sick. By the way the professor never gave us John McWhorter’s book “woke racism” which critiqued DeAngelo’s book. Because they don’t want you to think. They want you to follow and obey.

As someone who is trying hard to distance myself from academia, I can tell you that behind the scenes, it is worse than these students can even imagine. In grad three of my professors touted communism…and All of the assigned textbooks contained marx and his philosophies. And I went to a State University.

I adopted Marxist-Leninist ideology as a teenager. I left it behind when I went to college because I found it so illogical. You may be attracted to the ideology because it "espouses" "social justice". Then you find out that it also preaches "atheism" in its' dialectical materialism thought. If there is supposed to be no God, how then do we define "right" vs "wrong"? If that is the case, then only individual benefit becomes valid motive for any action. We then go back to animal motivations and society breaks down...........just like mainland China now.

Yes at University of Minnesota my Global Studies degree was all Postmodernism & pro Marxism theories. *Also if you want to get any type of job there (even admin entry level), they make you send in a letter explaining your multicultural experience. Basically you have to adequately prove you’re not a racist, and in order to do that you have to subscribe to Marxist leftist ideology).

The private colleges can do whatever they but insofar as state schools… the taxpayers should have a say.

If you come from a loving and supportive household with no "trauma" history or "story" of some multicultural hardship, you will not get into the college you want. You have to have a story about how you've helped the "underserved". Keep in mind that having a loving and supportive family has nothing to do with money but many will assume your a wealthy white kid.

Some of the big endowment givers have took a stand but most of these schools haved undisclosed endowment donors that keep,them going and WHAT are they trying to hide is the question??? Who are these secret donors and why are they giving Billions to these schools, this is most likely the answer to what is happening in these schools teaching HATE. Colleges definitely need to be defunded. We only should have tech schools teaching real life skills for jobs only!!!! Even if it is an attorney. We need them to learn the basics of the real law not false nonsense. Other than attorneys maybe like software engineers or any kind of engineer they should just have their own campus where they just learn real applications of the job they are going into anything else should not be a “thing”. You have to look at the funding of universities and where it is coming from. The Daily Wire (who sometimes I agree with, sometimes not) just did an article on the enormous amount of funding that has poured into universities from Islamist countries. Qatar in particular, a tiny country of a few million people have given some universities almost a billion dollars in the last few years. One of the universities I went too (I have two grad degrees) is on that list. It's very interesting because I got my degree from that university in early 2000s, and even then I noticed there were more foreign students in my program than US students. The US hate was very clear, and although they frequently complained about the US and how awful it was, EVERY ONE of them wanted to stay and get a job after college. College has become BIG business, and it's a global business, until people recognize that and try to reign in where the funding comes from, not much will change.
