@@wolfsznTo be a pro at ANYTHING you have to have natural talent above the normal. If that were not the case, anyone could just get up off the couch and do ‘gym work’ and end up in the NBA. That is nowhere near reality. These dudes are born with extraordinary gifts..like agility..speed..hand-eye. Strength for their size. All sorts of things regular humans do not have.

This is for me but if some of you can use it it’s good Collin Sexton Ball Handling: 1- Half Court and Back (x2) with partner, try to read the court (look around but up never down), try to use small gaps and then run into the space and bump their chest with shoulder, use leverage & HARD DRIBBLES 2- Passes off the dribble: 2.1- Stationary tween, cross, tween and strong behind the back like move but push/ pound the ball hard to make it a pass 2.2- Stationary tween, cross, tween and strong cross like move but hard to make it a pass and next one put the opp. hand on the ball and push it out with that hand or come up with more ex. hook Shooting: 1- Free Throw line Catch & Shoot’s over contest/ obstacle ex. black foam thing (if you don’t have it nor someone to contest don’t stress over it) 2- Free Throw line Catch, hop to one side 90 degrees and back, & Shoot over contest/ obstacle 3- Receive the ball in a deep squat facing backwards to the rim at free throw line, hop to turn 180 degrees facing the rim and shoot over contest/ obstacle 4- Catch on one leg at free throw line, bound to other leg while ripping the ball high, bounce back to one leg, put the other foot down and shoot over contest/ obstacle 5- Catch at free throw line in a slight split stance ( one foot in front of the other) placing most your weight in top foot, bounce forward to be only on your back leg, then bounce backwards diagonally so you end up close to elbow and on only on the leg that was your top foot (opp. leg you were just standing on), put the other foot down and shoot over contest/ obstacle. Try to keep the ball in the same position the whole time 6- Start between wing and corner’s ( I can’t tell which one he’s closer to) close mid- range, take one dribble (with your outside hand) towards the baseline and shoot while slightly rotating towards the basket, shoot over contest/ obstacle 7- Same but take that dribble towards the ft line and with the inside hand 8- Catch & Shoot Corner 3s - shoot over contest/ obstacle 9- Have a Defender in front of you and a screener (not necessarily if you only have one partner), btl or change of direction move to guide them into the screen, pound dribble to get to the three point line and shoot a wing three over contest/ obstacle 10- The same setup, this time take a btl or change of direction move the other way as before, towards the top of the key, as though rejecting the screen, then pound to reset and get into a btl or change of direction move the same way as in the previous one to guide them into the screen, take a pound dribble to get closer to the three point line and shoot a wing three over contest/ obstacle 11- Same as number 10 but without the pound dribble to reset 12- Same but defender ‘curls the screen’/ traces you and you have to move laterally (towards the corner) to get your shot off (still a wing three but closer to the corner) 13- Start on the wing outside the three point line and do a push-off/ lateral glide dribble with your outside hand, then drive inside dribbling towards the baseline, do a spin into the defender while crossing the ball to your now outside hand, the spin should end so that you are now facing the opposite wing, take a dribble on which you hop to get inside the paint (or don’t hop and take a dribble further outside closer to the ft line), then shoot a close range jumper while ‘fading’ backwards (if you choose to take the second dribble I mentioned it will not be necessary to fade, but do as you wish). Shoot over contest/ obstacle 14- Same but you will now be attacking towards the ft line and the spin with the cross will direct you towards the baseline, the dribble will take you towards the corner as you will shoot the close range jumper just outside the block this time because it will be on the side of it. Shoot over contest/ obstacle Remember to do all on both sides!! You have completed the Collin Sexton workout, congratulations! Repeat it tomorrow and see how your shooting percentage varies!

Anybody that tells me today’s players aren’t more skilled than from yesteryear needs to take a look at a video like this. Nowadays these guys train different which has elevated so many of these guys’ skill level to new levels. It’s not a slight to guys who played in those prior eras, but this is proof how the game has evolved. These trainers and players have gotten so creative with their training techniques.
