The Hawthorn 3 peat doesn't get spoken about enough to be the best team 3 years in a row on grand final day and win is no easy feat, hence why only hawthorn and brisbane have done it since the 50's because those two teams had arguably the most stacked sides of this era and big game perormers, hence why the great geelong team from 07-11 never went back to back however they did win 3 flags in 5 years its hard to win premierships and can we be honest this collingwood side doesn't have the calibre the 13-15 Hawks or the 01-03 brisbane team did.

This season has been a mess, but they were the top team the 2 previous seasons. This downfall is not unusual. They can reset, and go again next year. Other premiers have done it.

In a way it's been a perfect year for Collingwood as they have found out exactly where their list is at when you have maximum pressure on you with being hunted and being extremely injured with no consistency. They'll be able to do a quick reset with more knowledge than they would have had. One thing Collingwood do well is rebuild quick. They can easily make the 8 in the years they are shifting the list aswell. It's not as if all the 30+ yr olds are going to all retire at the same time 😂 most will have better yrs than they have this one.
People who's teams are no chance of finals and just want an entertaining finals series probably want to see them. Rather hawks than port, demons, gold coast etc.

As an observer, the entire league doesn't seem to care if they're the worst or not. Neither is giving each other headaches for 4 years straight. Believe it or not, they're acting like Geelong of last year or west coast losing their spark. Going back to your previous comments about you witnessing Essendon winning those cups (which some don't believe) I'm going to guess you're an 80's fellow? We just want to enjoy this sport regardless of the outcome.
