streamlabs.com... Colonel Blade | EDC Best Defensive Blade?
This blade just makes since, great blade for the times where you can't carry your firearm, and for firearm retention...
Seems to be much better than the Ka-bar TDI
Colonel LowVz Blade: colonelblades....
This is a must have if you've been looking for a fixed blade knife for self defense

This is the best review on this knife to date. Honest and straight to the point.

One thing I like about the training blade is that it can be used a self defense non-lethal option in areas that don't allow any type of lethal

Nick Blackmon they make a metal version of the trainer and it is pretty much brass knuckles

I like this review video a lot. It has sold me on the purchase. I'll have to invest in this blade soon. Thank you.

thats definitely a cool one and a great choice. its impossible to say which is the best imo. i dont even know what's the easiest. if you start looking at knife fighting and all their opinions everyone's is different. shivworks clinch pick gets pumped a lot also. the sharp side is the back for ripping and hooking. ive got some cold steel push daggers. benchmade makes a push dagger and the socp. the cold steel push daggers have a chisel grind and are double edged. glad you showed the kabar tdi. i havent had any knife training so i cant say hey everybody carry a knife you can pull out in reverse grip, edge in, its the best! and make sure it has a long handle for pummel strikes! great video!

The Kabar TDI is also meant to be used in the same reverse grip (punching) as the Colonel. In fact, that is the prefered way that I carry that blade. Also, having the hole in the middle that locks in a finger can actually be used against you in a combative situation where grappling CQC is concerned. You want to be able to fully release the knife handle if needed, especially if the need comes that you need to switch hands while in a struggle or use your hands. I would not choose the Colonel on the premise that it is better for knife retention. IF you are in that struggle then you might have some other serious issues to consider. Broken fingers are not something I would want to have to deal with when fighting an attacker.

I understand your concern that would really depend on your presence... and what you feel is important in a situation like that!

I had the TDI first. Bought the Colonel blade after reading reviews and watching them on RU-vid. The Colonel hurt my hand. Especially when using the trainer on my BOB. I found it hard to keep the blade from moving in my hand. Anyone experience the same?

That's some great feedback one of the things that I like the most is the fact that it would almost take an act of god for a person to drop that knife

I just picked up a Tops Devils Elbow, almost the same as the Colonel, minus the finger hole. I would have got the Colonel, but price put the breaks on it. Can you do a video on the Devils elbow? There's not many on RU-vid.

Dude great review, I actually bought this knife because of this. Got a Multicam sheath from TXC. Can you please respond with where you got the additional screw? Did you contact TXC? I noticed right away the issue you mentioned with it moving, they need to fix that- my only beef with this sheath. Great review!

...I think I like this design over the TDI...I have a permanent weakness on my LHS (I'm right handed) due to a stroke in 2002, but need to carry a back up blade on that side for obvious reasons...both designs are good but this one has a ring/'guard' that gives a positive grip that will not slip onto the blade during the fear/panic of initial contact...I also like the idea of the trainer...I'd like to see a double edge so it could cut in both directions...

I tried to order one of their folders from their website. The website said they were out of stock, but I could sign up to receive notification when they get some back in stock. The notification function didn't work, so I sent them a Facebook message asking them about it. After several days, they finally replied, but they didn't really answer my question. So, I commented on one of their posts, telling them I've been trying to get a straight answer from them for about a week. Instead of reaching out to me with anything that could be construed as customer service, they BLOCKED ME! Are you kidding me?! Now, I've made it my personal hobby to tell everyone I know online, and in person about the AT&T-like customer service I received from Colonel Blades. They WILL answer my question "When will your folders be back in stock?" one way or another.

@@BlackLabelElite, it is very stable in the hand. The grip fills the palm well, and the knife doesn’t move.

Make sure you know state and city laws before buying this knife. Concealing fixed blades is illegal in many regions.
