@@DehaMusicCo True story: I got stuck in traffic for like 12 hours without a ticket. I had planned on trying to get one when I got to the gate. When we got within sight, I got out of the car and started walking up. Some guy had managed to rip off a huge strip of wristbands from the gate... he slapped one on me and I headed in. This set was one of the most memorable moments of the weekend!
This is a black hole of talent. Meaning there is so much talent on this stage that it pulls talent from lesser beings in a fifty mile radius to add to the gravitational talent well. A talent well so deep that not even Nickelback can escape.
To think of that they met Les Claypool right before the show and then just started a completely improvised gig.. this is so amazing! RIP Bernie Worrell!
Not really surprised. Drummer lays down the typical 4/4 beat that is in most songs. Claypool adds a bass line and doesn't really vary it, leaving Buckethead to throw down whatever comes to his inspired mind.
Each one of them enjoys jamming together, just pure talent and respect for each other's mastery of their instrument, all improvised and still a very melodic experience ❤️ I came for Buckethead I stayed for Buckethead Brain Mr Bernie and colonel Claypool 🙇🏻
I still have my bracelet from this.. I was the 139th person ever let into bonnaroo ever. I will never forget the look on the summer schoolers faces when they saw us in that parking lot.
Worrell, Brain and Buckethead were there to perform with Bill Laswell as Praxis. Laswell wasnt able to play so Claypool invited them to jam with him. This was all improv
I was at this show with some friends! We met Enor and got pics on the way to the tent! We recorded the whole show too, but got the tapes taken by security! So Awesome to Find this!
I would pay any amount of money to have the unreleased video footage from this year and 2003. Unbelievable shows those years. 2004 was ruined by storms unfortunately, and Bonnarroo was never the same after that.
we recorded all 3 days of roo 1 (2002), but i can't find the fucking tapes. we caught a piece of basically every single late night and main stage act plus all the cool sunday gospel and marching parade shit... sunrise particle set, etc.... all lost. hopefully not forever.
Guys! Honestly! Who the Fuck is that keyboard player??? I respect Claypool, bigtime.Would respect Fuckethead if he did not wear NOH mask. Drummer, HUGE respect. BUT guys and gals, really the keyboard player IS HOLDING IT ALL TOGETHER - recognize and respect PLEASE!!! Yrs, Chris
