How the world was so robbed of this being mainstream is criminal. More talent on that stage than 99% of the bands that get recognition. This is incredible. One love to all
I think he ranks in the top ten of all past and current players.John Entwistle was thunder fingers, but Les Claypool is slap happy. Can slap and finger that fret board like it’s a six string guitar.
@@cahg3871 to Les, the bass is like an extension of his body. His music isn't for everyone, but no one can deny that he is one of the GOATs. Claypool is synonymous with bass guitar
I'm an old dude who's seen many the musics, but this stuff is just tooo fucking much! Always loved Les n' Bernie and this group is just over the fucking top great! Jazz.....
I wish this supergroup could’ve lasted longer, R.I.P. Bernie, may your sounds always be just as goofy as the other two, and I hope in the far future, you four are jamming together again in some new life or in a different dimension or something.
@@sullyb23511 perfect match. They were all nessessary. I slept on brains. But omg! One could easily think brains was most important or some improvement opportunity. NOT. THIS IS MUSICAL PERFECTION IN THE SIMPLEST FORM ACDC was similar in few but perfect match. But Bernie sets them far out above
I've seen several long clips from this concert, and was always blown away (by Claypool's improvised solos, particularly).. I'm so glad to see the whole concert like this (after more than a decade of watching the individual clips lol)..
And it could also be said that Claypool has attained the pinnacle of supreme mastery of the bass guitar, perhaps the most innovative and incredible musician on that instrument out there and composing as well as still performing on stage with other very talented musicians that have also reached the rare heights of extremely talented men with total mastery of their instruments and having buckets and heads full of true talent, creativity and style...thanks for posting this amazing display of great artists and musicians..so cool
I'm a bass player, and I pray to the altar of Les, but seeing these guys live, every time I would be watching Buckethead. Every time. I almost felt bad that I was watching him instead of Les.
Well damn at 60 years old I can never remember wanting to go to a show and do another hit of acid so bad in my life as I feel right now thank God we have RU-vid to at least witness the spectacle of enjoying entertainment. 😁😎👍
I feel bad for morons who actually are so brain damaged they sit and listen to more that 2 mins of this shit ! , I tried , fwd'd thru lookin for SOMETHING ??? I'm game for a lotta "artistic expression" but this is just shit
So glad they challenge the super groups KISS. Because the New York Dolls gave up and Twisted Sister did too, but that band, T.S., is definitely a dress-up act that will kick your ass for thinking you belong being in the audience. For if you are caught crossing your arms and thinking they are not worth getting involved as an audience participation patron to fan hood noise makers. Dee Snider would bring the light upon you and ask everyone to speak up and say, "Get the fuck out!" (We are Twisted F***ing Sister, 2014) Good luck stroking your instruments belief in desperate attention screeching your own names of flaming orgasm for you are the musicians numerous unos.
With Les you get more. He's found a way with that Bass he plays, makes me swim in pools of clay.. Caught this show in Sacramento, Cal. The highest, most weirdest high I've ever experienced at a concert in all my 62yrs. 2 c i, heavy shit. Unforgettable. To top it off a CD of the show was sold. I still get uncomfortable rush running up and down my spine of icy 2CI flashbacks. Worth every lost brain cell, thanks to the burnt brain cell replacement agreement I signed with the Guys from the other side. PeaceOrElse
Around 1:08:00 is the best drum solo I've ever heard, as a matter of fact this entire performance might be one of the best I've ever seen. Too bad I wasn't old enough then... Born in '95, missed Primus this year as they didn't come to my state. Better luck next time I guess
listen. This music is absolutely insane shit. Bucket fits perfectly with this insane group of doctors degree musicians. His improvisation may sound like horrible string pulling, but honestly, that’s talking about it on its own. Mixed the brain, clay, Dr, he fits absolutely well with his members. This is all for experience. And the experience is very great to some of us. Improvisation like this has been around as long as composed music has. It’s all about freedom and fun. If you can’t accept that, then I’m sorry, bud. I can only recommend you to leave. To exit is only a click away.
On Io, we intercepted this footauge upon our canibbling pins and frowed lazily upon neter thags. The intense morphage of shroomage inductors was not reaaly needed. These sounds made us float upon the shinyglowing...
@@nodiggity9472 well, it's fine coming from someone who wouldn't recognize world-class musicianship from highly respected musicians, let alone a relatively anonymous figure such as myself.
I used to have this on DVD maybe 17 years ago, and the quality was the same. That’s really my only complaint about this recording. Anyway, your best bet is to use a browser plugin that allows you to record the video off of RU-vid.
Zappa is more jazz this is like hard funky psychedelic rock, Bernie is more suited than Zappa for this style of music. But, Zappa would enjoy this a lot for how goofy he was.
i dont mean to be offtopic but does any of you know of a tool to log back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb forgot my password. I would love any help you can give me!
Even if Metallikatz had picked Les I don't think it would have worked out for 3 reasons: 1. Stylistically, Les more funky and dynamic than Metallica's limited arsenal 2. Les would have ultimately been repulsed by the macho metal scene especially those shows with Guns n Roses where everyone was trying to outcool the other 3. Les own creative expressions yearning to break free but James frowns on solo projects
Go to 1:21:20 and watch for the next 60 seconds. Live music at its Apex 🎶 spoiler alert Les and Bucket play each other’s instruments as well as their own simultaneously 🧠
