Colonel Walter Goodale Morrill 20th Maine Infantry 

Among the unsung 20th Maine Infantry heroes at Little Round Top was Walter Goodale Morrill, the Co. B captain assigned to guard Joshua L. Chamberlain’s flank. Already a combat veteran when he joined the 20th Maine, Morrill was involved in multiple battles while serving with that regiment. He would receive the Medal of Honor for his heroism during one of those battles.
