Loved the first one, liked second one, no thanks on the last one. That is just me. I absolutely NEED color, textures, textiles, layers upon layers. Pale interiors make me feel like I am caught in snowstorm and am going snow blind. 😄But to each his or her own.-

At 34:58 time stamp, the first home owner remarks that the photo gallery wall is "a little creepy" and "a little wierder a little darker." I love it because my mother had the same type of photo wall in her stairway. My brother and I called it "mom's imaginary family."" We actually had old photos of real family she could have displayed, but my Mom preferred the mysterious photos of people she never knew!

I absolutely LOVE & ADORE the first home! I’m completely obsessed. It’s everything i’d want & much more. 💙 Except the kitchen…why does it lack so much of the quirk & character the rest of the rooms have?

I find it odd that the first house has books arranged that she doesn't read, a stove that she doesn't cook on, doesn't garden outside, and walls full of people's portraits who she doesn't know at all. No sense of her or her husband in the home ( except for the pets-they are wonderful).

The second home is lovely but the "fence" when in the entrance hall barricading the dining room beyond is not at all welcoming. Perhaps pocket doors with either clear, opaque glass or even unusual glass panels found while antiquing would be something to consider. With young children, the glass would have to be panels so they do not hurt themselves if running around. But the panel doors would not only let in light to the hallway but welcoming when opened for guests. Just a thought.

Do glass doors with 4 young kids? Give her a break! She's be cleaning fingerprints off the glass a number of times a day, if they didn't run into the glass and hurt themselves 1st.

What a shame, when l see fantastic kitchens but not used by the owner. I have a small functional kitchen and can cook up a storm. I can make dinner for 20. I would cherish that kitchen. It's hard for me to watch when the owners of these kitchens admit they do not cook. Sorry a pet peeve of mine. I believe if you are able..cook for you and your family. They will remember and be inspired to do the same. I have two grown boys that can survive by cooking for themselves. Ha ha. Just saying.
