you could do a battle between two factions of these, like 16-18th century empires (russia, spain, portugal, ottoman, austria, sweden, the netherlands and denmark) vs 19-20th century powers (germany, japan, italy, the uk and the us) or something like that, it would be good

at first glance it definitely seemed like the biggest candidates to win were japan, spain, and britain. britain had too many fronts spread too far apart to decently maintain a defensive or offensive operation, along with scotland on their northern border, was not a good position spain's colonies were too far to be of any real use in defending mainland european spain from france, losing them much economy and industrial power. Japan is in a great geological position, with all of it's main threats to it's west, a strong navy to defend from whatever weak attacks America or the UK could muster from the east (America was under a two front war against two much larger and more powerful empires, the Japanese mainland is too far from any nearby UK ports + the army is too spread out between it's fronts) Russia served as a massive weak enemy they could overrun (Russia did not have the economy or power to hold that front) giving them a huge land advantage, the UK's army being so spread out meant India had to defend itself for the most part, and puppet armies are nothing to be impressed of, the more land Japan took the more access they had to taking more land, so it was a sweep across eurasia and africa and a simple naval invasion on Spain's weak defenses (they had just finished fighting all the other powers) and Japan won the war. Not even the Scottish could keep them out.

Damn I was Routing for Spain They lost their homeland and flet to Brazil. In the New World they conquered the USA and Canada. Then they landed in West Africa and successfully pushed the French out but then Japan took over Iberia and they were even the last one standing
